Following my breakdown of the 15U All-Tournament First Team, it’s time to take a look at the 15U All-Tournament Second Team.
In the first place spot on my list is Garret Miller, a quarterback for STFFA Excellence 7v7. What impressed me about Miller was his ability to use his footwork off the snap to maneuver the field and find an open receiver in the backfield. I also liked how Miller could put up completions from along the edge. Miller’s ability to think quick on his feet also stood out, utilizing the short pass under pressure.
Highlights
Darrione Hardiman
Darrione Hardiman
I am additionally impressed with Darrione Hardiman, an athlete for West Michigan Drive 7v7. Hardiman made a considerable difference down the stretch, proving to be difficult to stop due to his explosive speed and ability to juke out the defense to get open for the deep ball. Hardiman also showcased excellent footwork after the catch, dodging and weaving the defense on his way to the house.
Zion Brown
Zion Brown
Claiming the number three spot on my list is Zion Brown, a wide receiver for Team Grind Hard 7v7. Brown made his presence known offensively due to his breakaway speed, versatility on the run and his ability to get in front of the ball in the backfield. Brown also impressed me with his ability to haul in the challenging pass from along the edge, using his arms to push off the defense and attack the ball in the air.
AJ Jackson
AJ Jackson
Another skilled prospect to keep an eye on is AJ Jackson, an athlete for Team Showtime 7v7. Jackson stood out at the helm of the offense due to his quick release and pin-point accuracy on the deep pass. Jackson’s ability to calculate his throws in crucial moments also impressed. Jackson also caught my eye with his ability to sling the quick bullet pass to his receivers in the corner of the backfield.
Jonah Chatman
Jonah Chatman
Coming in at number five on my list is Jonah Chatman, an athlete for SOKY Elite 7v7. Chatman caught my attention with his size and strength, showcasing his ability to stun the defense with his aggression in coverage and ability to push into enemy territory. I also liked Chatman’s ability to lock down receivers on the other side with his solid wingspan and ability to shut down the deep pass.
