In the first place spot on my list is Garret Miller, a quarterback for STFFA Excellence 7v7. What impressed me about Miller was his ability to use his footwork off the snap to maneuver the field and find an open receiver in the backfield. I also liked how Miller could put up completions from along the edge. Miller’s ability to think quick on his feet also stood out, utilizing the short pass under pressure.

Coming off a prolific youth football career, now-Rockhurst 2027 signal-caller Garret Miller is ready & able to keep the momentum going into his high school football career and is a big part of a promising & talented Rockhurst Hawklets freshman class of prospects. The 6′, 175 lber. – who has primarily been playing in the non-varsity ranks for the Hawklets – has posted a midseason stat line of 36 completions on 53 attempts (68%) for 655 yards and 10 TDs to only 1 INT while averaging over 12 yards a completion with that talented right arm of his. Miller possesses a big arm that can stretch the ball far downfield and hit his streaking wide receivers in stride for massive gains, and he is able to put successful touch on the ball when necessary as well. His arm and footwork are in-synch and he sports a concise throwing motion that can throw with accuracy from non-traditional arm angles. Miller is effective with his arm both inside and outside the pocket, is noticeably accurate to all levels of the field, safe and secure with the football, and avoids pressure and scrambles well to boot. In the always-continuous quest to identify the Next Great Young Quarterback coming up through the ranks, I think Rockhurst’s Garret Miller is a must-know name from the Show-Me State.

Garret is another dynamic quarterback to look out for as he heads into his high school career. Grant is a tri-sport athlete who competes in football, basketball, and baseball. On the football field, Garret can get the job done standing in the pocket or on the move. With him being such a versatile athlete, I expect him to continue to have a dominant career in football.

Garrett is promising quarterback coming out of the state of Kansas. With solid arm strength, Garrett has no problem slinging the ball downfield and has the precision to put the ball on his targets with amazing accuracy. Garrett also makes throwing on the run look effortless. Whenever he is sprinting out of the pocket in his progression, Garrett does a good job of keeping his guys downfield and finding his open man. Another key aspect to Garrett’s game is that he can improvise. When there is pressure in his face, he has no problem staying calm and finding a way to get away from the defenders and find an open target downfield. Overall, Garrett put together a very impressive middle school career as a signal caller. If he continues to grow taller and keeps sharpening his craft, there should be schools looking for him to play on Saturdays in the future.
