Bigtime defensive lineman Rashad Fortune Rashad Fortune 6’3″ | 245 lbs | DL Virginia Academy | 2025 VA just announced his transfer to VA Academy, cant wait to see what he does in a Patriots uniform. Fortune is 6’3 245 lbs and move incredible well for his position group. He can play both end or tackle for Coach Woods defense, which is a scary thought considering all the talent they had coming back on that side of the ball anyhow. Love the way he comes off the football making himself a very tough block right out of the snap. He knows how to shed blockers and plays the run just as well that he does the pass. He has good make up speed and you rarely see him play out of position, he always seems to be around the football. Another nice building block for VA Academy they are going to be a tough out this fall.

Since exploding onto the scene as a freshman Saeed Williams Saeed Williams 6’0″ | 175 lbs | QB Mt. Zion Prep | 2026 VA Jr. has continue to turn heads down in Hampton, Virginia. Playing for traditional power Warwick High School Williams had 52 tackles and 4.5 sacks playing safety for the Raiders. Williams was also very effective at quarterback this past season, the Raiders will need his progression to continue if they want to get past Maury this season. Anyhow here is what I wrote about him last year:
Let’s start with Williams the number 1 ranked qb in this class, only 15 and he may already be one of the fastest kids in the conference. All he did in his freshman campaign was account for 25 total touchdowns and nearly 2,000 yards passing, very impressive. Williams can throw on the run and in the pocket at 6’1 he certainly has a presence to him as well. Playing for Green Run in a loaded Beach District, the rising sophomore will certainly be facing some of the best competition in the state, judging by the leadership he displays on the field I am confident he is ready. One final note, the kid also has a 4.0 GPA!!!!

Saint Christopher’s Darius Gray Darius Gray 6’4″ | 280 lbs | OL St. Christopher | 2026 State VA name keeps popping up all over my twitter feed with offers and I am not surprised. The top ranked prospect from our initial 2026 ranking Gray recently picked up offers from Penn State and Missouri, Adding on to his never end list of power 5 opportunities the young man just finished an all-star basketball sophomore season and he was selected First-Team All Prep for his work. The two sport star will surely wind up on your television set in a couple years time, here is what I said about him after our rankings a year ago:
The Saints offense starts behind Gray as he is a excellent run and pass blocker and his footwork are some of the best work I have ever seen not just for his age. Only entering his sophomore campaign the young man has already picked up offers from nearly 20 schools and counting! When I say offers mean the power 5 schools such as Michigan, Alabama, Georgia and Miami have come calling just to name a few. The sky is the limit for Gray, I think personally he is a young Fletcher Cox at defensive tackle but many schools seem to prefer him as an offensive tackle. I have no issue with that, you just cant help but see a young Fletcher each time he flies off the ball defensively.

Carter Scruggs
Carter Scruggs
One of our biggest misses from our 2026 rankings a year ago was Loudoun County’s power 5 to be offensive tackle Carter Scruggs. The rising junior is rapidly rising up everyone’s ranking board across the entire country, he is 6’6 285 lbs. and has a 3.93 gpa. The second team all state selector is a versatile tackle who can play guard or center for you if needed. He is too valuable to move inside though as he mauls defenders on the outside, the young man is just coming into form. Not even entering the 11th grade and Scruggs has offers from Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Penn State and Indiana with the list ever changing. Come this season the Captains have some really nice talent including the player below, but it all seems to start with Carter Scruggs.
Time to start paying attention to this linebacker and Scruggs teammate out of Loudoun County Jeremiah Davis Jr. Jeremiah Davis Jr. 6’2″ | 210 lbs | LB Loudoun County | 2026 VA , he is not one to be ignored. A two year starter already he is 6’1 and 205 lbs. with room to grow. First team all region as a sophomore it’s really hard to tell what position he may be at the next level, defensive end or linebacker, he plays both positions very well. Off the edge he is strong bull rusher, who you don’t want to have him extend you if you are a linemen. At backer he is fast and fearless, plus he has good enough speed to play in one of the toughest conferences in the state. While the offers have yet to really extend his way, FCS level schools are noticing his talent, with a repeat performance of what he did as a 10th grader, the offers shall be plenty.
