Small School Gems Pt. III

A lot of them are the kid next door who doesn't get the shine associated with some of the recruiting hotbeds. That doesn't mean these small schools don't contain a ton of good ball players just looking for the next opportunity! I came away feeling pretty positive about his trajectory given that he has a couple more years to develop. First thing's first, he is a gym rat. He has set a goal to get to over 200lbs by the fall, and he is taking that to heart. On the field, Treyton runs extremely hard, and makes it extremely tough to bring down. He isn't necessarily the most explosive off the first step, but he accelerates nicely. He is really strong as he runs through arm tackles or guys that aren't balanced. He comes out of his stance with aggression, and turns a ton of run plays back to the inside, and can be a problem when it comes to pass rush reps. He's not afraid to take on pulling linemen and backs trying to kick him out. He anchors down and absorbs the hit and is able to still make plays. I think the next evolution for him is to add a few go-to pass rush moves and make those his bread and butter. On special teams he can be seen weaving in and out of defenders and pulling away from them as they struggle to stop him. He has good vision and can find the smallest gap and get up field. Offensively I think he really shines at running go routes  and beating guys off the line to get behind the secondary. He has good body control and goes up to high point the ball in the end zone which is a nice plus. Lee gets in and out of breaks quickly and doesn't u0022beat the drumu0022 at the top of his route like some guys tend to do in high school. He does a really nice job of firing off quickly, keeping his arms out to keep the offensive lineman from getting to his chest, and when the time is right he is able to dispose of the blocker to make the play. He's in a good habit of getting his arms up on delivery and batting down passes and changing their trajectory. He has pretty long arms and can really make life difficult if the QB doesn't get the ball up. He's one of those guys that you just want to get involved and get him in space. Doesn't matter how you do it, if he can get the ball he can hurt a defense immensely. He has breakaway speed and is extremely shifty. He cuts on a dime and makes guys miss in space. He is especially dangerous in the return game as he is just a problem trying to take on 1 on 1. As a receiver he has the innate ability to get separation. He breaks so quickly there's always going to be a little bit of space. His highlights show a few nice deep balls that he tracks nicely, and also displays his ability to high point the ball and make the 50/50 catch. Defensively, he is a good DB who definitely can be a ball hawk, but I think offensively is where his skillset can best be utilized.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65d4ec402bef9"} /-->
