Although QB’s havnt been a strong spot for the state there still have been many well known Quarterbacks to come out of FL such as Geno Smith, Lamar Jackson, and Mac Jones. This list is compiled with some top QB’s looking to make an Impact immediately in high school.
Jayden Wade has taken off receiving national attention after making the move from Carson California to IMG Academy. The 6’4 190 pound Quarterback has received 9 D1 offers including Georgia and Oregon and played in the UA All America 8th grade game to end 2023. Wade has all the attributes needed to be a great QB, but the thing that stands out to me the most is his ability to dominate no matter who it’s against whether it’s top 8th graders or an IMG Varsity Schedule. The ability to make soft touch passes and also be able to throw darts to receivers impressed me. Although he has a great arm he’s not afraid to get it done with his feet and lower his shoulder on a defender. Wade has the Mechanics, size, athleticism, and strength to not only be the best QB in Florida but one of the best QB’s in the country. IMG has produced many top Quarterbacks over the years and Wade has the resources and coaching there to be next.
Neiman Lawrence led Ransom Everglades to an 8-1 record and has received offers from Nebraska and Miami so far. The 6’1 175 pound QB can straight up sling it. Lawrence has great pocket awareness and footwork and impressed me with his ability to roll out and make great throws. He is absolutely elusive in the pocket and looks like he could make things happen with his legs if he wanted to but he does a great job of keeping the play alive by making defenders miss and still using the great vision he has to find receivers down field. Lawrence does a great job with his accuracy and knowing what kind of ball to throw. Very impressed with what he’s done so far as only an 8th grader playing varsity level competition. Clearly the best Athlete in every game he’s played. Also played in the UA All America 8th grade game as well. No doubt he’s going to be a top QB in the state when it comes to his senior year.

is a playmaker. The 6’0 165 pound lefty Qb out of Jacksonville already has offers from UAB and Arkansas and I can see why. Dallas does very well with the option and I’m not sure whether or not to call him a dual threat but he can definitely use his legs to make big plays. Dallas has great vision when scrambling and is quick to make defenders miss. He has elite athleticism and throws a great deep ball. He’s exciting to watch when he gets out of the pocket. There’s not many young Qb’s in the state of Florida that can throw and run as well as Dallas does.
Daniel Terry the 6’0 170 pound QB out of Wesley Chapel has the ability to get in done with his feet and in the air. Terry is elusive in the pocket and is fun to watch when he rolls out for a throw and makes defenders miss and makes a big play. Although Terry can get it done in the air he shows a lot of ability to use his legs and looks to be a true dual threat. Terry has the ability to make big throws while being pressured in the pocket and seems calm under pressure. This is a great attribute to have as a young QB along with the great mechanics and playmaking ability he already has.

North Florida Educational Institute has a good one for the next 4 years in Cruz James Cruz James 6’2″ | 150 lbs | QB North Florida Educational Institute | 2028 FL . The 6’2 150 pound Quarterback out of Jacksonville played varsity this year as an 8th grader. Cruz has great footwork and impressed me with his ability to make throws while rolling out. He has great pocket awareness and does a pretty good job of keeping his eyes downfield while avoiding defenders. Cruz can make throws under pressure even as a young QB playing against varsity competition. He has a great deep ball and can lead his receivers downfield with his throws. I think is definitely a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop. Already has good size and mechanics for the position and has a great arm.
