2024 5'11 185 QB - Tristan Evans-Trujillo - Freedom

There were few quarterbacks in the entire state of Virginia who had more impressive seasons than Tristan Evans-Trujillo. Evans-Trujillo was named the Virginia Player of the Year this past Fall, and he led his Freedom squad to yet another VHSL State Championship. He also secured the MaxPreps Player of the Year Award along the way. With a 34-1 overall career record, it's clear that Evans-Trujillo completely dominated during his four years at Freedom. There's no doubt in my mind that he will continue to impress at the collegiate level! It's essential that local scouts don't allow this elite QB prospect to slip through the recruitment cracks!

2025 5'10 185 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='313738' first='Jeffrey' last='Overton'] Jr - Freedom

[player_tooltip player_id='313738' first='Jeffrey' last='Overton'] powered the Freedom Eagles to a championship out of the backfield. He secured a spot on the 1st Team All-MET squad, as featured in the Washington Post, and he earned an Offensive Player of the Year Award. Overton is currently a 3 star recruit, and he also possesses D1 offers from elite programs such as the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Oregon Ducks. [player_tooltip player_id='313738' first='Jeffrey' last='Overton'] Jr is in a premier position to have his career year in the Fall of 2024, so scouts everywhere must keep their eyes on him!

2026 6'2 180 QB/ATH - Calum O'Shea - Battlefield

The Battlefield high school quarterback, Calum O'Shea, played both ways in 2023, so his track speed was on full display at multiple positions. He accounted for 39 total touchdowns, and he also threw for 1,900 yards. O'Shea led Battlefield to a 12-1 overall record and a district championship as a Sophomore, therefore it's safe to assume that his prospect ceiling is incredibly high in scouts' eyes. Calum O'Shea is one of the most exciting young players in the entire DMV area, so it's essential that local scouts have his name on their watchlists.

2025 6'2 215 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='332476' first='Brady' last='Carmical'] - Briar Woods

The 3 star prospect and dual-threat quarterback, [player_tooltip player_id='332476' first='Brady' last='Carmical'], had a career season this past Fall. He accounted for more than 30 total touchdowns and 2,500 total yards in 2023, and he achieved All-District honors. Carmical was also selected to the Washington Post's ALL-MET team at the QB position, which must be recognized as one of the greatest honors a DMV area high school athlete can receive. I have no doubt in my mind that [player_tooltip player_id='332476' first='Brady' last='Carmical'] will have another standout season in 2024, so scouts must recruit him with the utmost seriousness!

2025 6'1 210 QB - Josh Barido - Life Christian Academy - IMG

The Life Christian Academy quarterback, Josh Barido, put forth such an elite effort in the Fall that he will be taking his talents to IMG Academy in 2024 to finish out his career. Barido threw for more than 1,500 yards and about 15 TDs last season, so his numbers will most certainly improve with IMG this Fall. While he averaged more than 200 yards and a touchdown score each game, his LCA squad only finished the 2023 season with a 1-10 record. Josh Barido's record will most definitely improve during his time in Florida as the IMG Ascenders' QB!
