2025 Standout 6A Players

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is the final report in the series covering the top 2025 talent in the latest rankings representing the four <strong>Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League</strong> divisions. Due to the high number of players making the 2025 rankings from AVCT-Div1, we ended up splitting the coverage into two separate reports.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The report below will cover <strong>Hutchinson</strong> and <strong>Maize</strong>, which combined to place eight players in the 2025 rankings. The first report has already been released, which provided insight into the eight players from <strong>Derby </strong>and <strong>Maize South</strong>. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p> Almost half of the players in this report are ranked in the top 100, giving both schools a strong nucleus coming into the 2024 season. The highest ranked player in this report is <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442624' first='Bryson' last='Hayes']</strong> from <strong>Maize</strong> who currently occupies the #5 spot following a standout junior season in which he gained over a thousand all-purpose yards and scored 10 touchdowns to spearhead the Maize passing attack.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Listed below are the players in the 2025 rankings from <strong>Hutchinson</strong> and <strong>Maize</strong> high schools.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Hutchinson</strong>:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='716095' first='Terrell' last='King']</strong>, 5'9, 160, DB, Hutchinson - following a breakout junior season comes in ranked at #82. As a go-to weapon for the Hutch offense, he piled up 1,221 all-purpose yards using his breakaway speed. In addition he proved he could strike from anywhere on the field, running for one TD of 83 yards and on an 80-yard reception later in the year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='716076' first='Carter' last='Morgan']</strong>, 6'0, 170, LB, Hutchinson - jumps to #136 in the rankings on the strength of a stellar junior season. He has great closing speed and delivers a blow filling holes. He was all over the field last year with 84 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1115448' first='Kaleb' last='Cape']</strong>, 6'2, 250, OL/DL, Hutchinson - came in ranked at #250 as an anchor on both sides of the ball. He helped support the Hutch offense as a pile-driving guard in the run game and walling off defenders on the pass. Is being counted on to build off that for his senior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Maize</strong>:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442624' first='Bryson' last='Hayes']</strong>, 6'0, 180, WR, Maize - is the highest ranked player in this report at #5. After a junior season where he caught 60 passes for 962 yards and a sparkling 16.0 yards per reception. As a long-ball weapon he scored on an 85-yard touchdown and added 10 total touchdowns for the year. He creates separation well and is dangerous after the catch in the Maize offensive scheme.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1115496' first='Andrew' last='Stotler']</strong>, 5'9, 185, LB, Maize - continues to climb the board and is currently ranked #26. A physical force working through blockers and flying to the ball, he accumulated an eye-popping 120 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, four sacks and caused a pair of fumbles. From either linebacker position, he reads lightning-fast and fills quickly.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='354613' first='Drew' last='Kemp']</strong>, 6'0, 175, QB, Maize - is climbing the ranks to #28. After a sensational junior season where he teamed up with Hayes to light up scoreboards all year, he will be looking to build on that for the 2024 season. A gifted passer with a quick release and excellent touch on the long ball, he completed 156 out of 243 passes for 2,018 yards and 17 touchdowns last year. An elusive presence in the pocket, he also added 183 yards on 65 carries and another four touchdowns rushing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='866488' first='Dimitri' last='Washington']</strong>, 6'3, 305, OL, Maize - moved up to #107 in the 2025 rankings after a solid junior season. A physical force at center in the middle of the Maize offense, he has good feet, drives with power and walls off the defense play in and play out. Is being counted on to stabilize the Maize front line again this coming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='570245' first='Mason' last='Teague']</strong>, 6'1, 200, K/DE, Maize - is currently ranked #211 following a strong junior campaign in which he played both defensive end as well as handled the team kicking duties. For the season he drilled 31 of 32 extra point attempts and 9 out of 11 field goals for 58 total points.
