My third report of April takes one last look at the March update for the Class of ‘27. In the previous reports I've broken down the latest stock risers as well as the newest additions. This time we'll be taking a deeper dive into the rankings. I wanted to highlight six prospects that have not received enough coverage. While these players aren't highly ranked, they're still a group recruiters should absolutely look into.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610783' first='Josh' last='Rodewald'] - Royal Valley, 6'2”, 250, DL

Rodewald of Royal Valley is a player that could drastically improve his stock with a good showing during camp season this summer. He's already been invited to a few camps, and these opportunities would help build on what was a solid 2025 season for him. Rodewald missed a bit of time last fall, but he managed to record 55 total tackles and three sacks. He'll head into his senior year as a multi-time captain and has lots of varsity experience.

[player_tooltip player_id='1531451' first='Oliver' last='Rusher'] - Christ Prep, 6'3”, 305, OL

I've spoken highly about the offensive line group for this class time and time again. The praise is well deserved too. Rusher of Christ Prep is yet another skilled lineman with next-level size. A few immediate takeaways from his film are that he's extremely physical, and he is an underrated athlete. His ability to pull, and plow running lanes was vital during Christ Prep's perfect 2025 season. He's a player that should gain interest this summer and into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='934534' first='Talon' last='Regier'] - Hillsboro, 5'10”, 165, WR

Regier of Hillsboro is an underrated wideout that plays bigger than his size. He possesses the athleticism and focus to make some impressive catches, and his quickness allows him to rack up yards after the catch. Not to mention he's also a ballhawk at safety. He has the potential of being a standout two-way player as a senior, and he should be an All-League member yet again.

[player_tooltip player_id='1593303' first='Deryn' last='Maxwell'] - Sterling, 6'0”, 170, LB

Maxwell of Sterling may not boast the size of a traditional linebacker. However, he knows a thing or two about racking up tackles. He'll have the opportunity to eclipse 200 career total tackles during his senior campaign, as he made it back-to-back seasons with 80 plus. Maxwell may also have a larger role on offense with Sterling's two leading rushers from 2025 set to graduate. Even with a limited role last season he rushed for 201 yards on 23 carries.

[player_tooltip player_id='944920' first='Brody' last='Boeckman'] - Junction City, 6'7”, 205, WR

Next is one of the more unique receivers in the Class of ‘27. I say that because it's not very common to see 6-foot-7 wideouts. Boeckman of Junction City has an obvious size advantage against virtually every defender. Between his length and basketball background he's capable of being a go-to target in the redzone, as well as a jump ball option down the field. Boeckman could even add size and transition to tight end in the future. He finished his junior season with 32 receptions for 496 yards and seven scores.

[player_tooltip player_id='944911' first='Gavin' last='Vantuyl'] - Washburn Rural, 6'1”, 195, WR

Just a few spots behind Boeckman in the rankings is Vantuyl of Washburn Rural. A report for Vantuyl is long overdue. He's yet another underrated wideout in this class, and he impressed with the limited targets he received in 2025. When the ball was in Vantuyl's hands he displayed physicality, elusiveness in the open field, and strong hands. With a larger role this fall, I could see him having a breakout season.
