Carter Morgan Carter Morgan 5'11" | 170 lbs | LB Hutchinson | 2025 State KS is an Outside Linebacker (OLB) with a lean build and impressive speed, allowing him to move swiftly across the field and make plays sideline to sideline. He excels at attacking double-team blocks, showcasing a high level of strength and technique to disrupt offensive schemes effectively. Morgan demonstrates good football IQ, often reading plays accurately and positioning himself advantageously. He sets the edge of the defense effectively, maintaining containment and forcing plays back inside. However, his tackling can be soft at times, lacking the necessary impact to consistently bring down stronger opponents. Additionally, he appears unfamiliar in coverage, sometimes struggling with assignments and positioning. With focused coaching on his tackling form and coverage skills, Morgan has the potential to become a more well-rounded and impactful linebacker.

In Part I of Welcome to the Rankings we featured standout corner, Terrell King Terrell King 5'9" | 170 lbs | DB Hutchinson | 2025 State KS . Now in Part II, folks get to meet another promising defender from Hutchinson’s program. Carter Morgan Carter Morgan 5'11" | 170 lbs | LB Hutchinson | 2025 State KS was one of only a few sophomores to earn a 5A All-State Honorable Mention nod in 2022. In addition to this, Morgan was also a 2nd Team All-AVCTL D-I selection. Morgan joins the rankings as the 9th ranked backer in the class and the 80th ranked prospect overall.
