Maku is one of the top two-way players across the bay area, and can play on either side of the ball at the next level and is a no brainer to crack our rankings in the newest update. He is a explosive player with return abilities, shows a nice initial burst and is tough to bring down in the open field due to contact balance, short area quickness and willingness to gain the tough yards. He can track the ball over the top, shows adjustment abilities and can make contested catches in traffic as well. Defensively, he is a natural edge setter, flips his hips in transition quickly and can come up and take on blockers with ease, while never shying away from contact in space.
Highlights
Nunes just picked up a FCS offer from San Diego, and remains one of the regions top uncommitted players in this 2024 class. He is a big framed kid with length, a high IQ and the ability to play multiple positions on both sides of the ball. Leading his Palma squad to a 4-A CIF State Title this season, he put up big time numbers from his quarterback spot, and was a big reason why they made such a deep post season run. He is very athletic in the pocket, knows when to roll out and step up while not afraid to take a shot to deliver the ball downfield. Nunes shows that he can throw a nice deep ball with touch and good spin, while also accurate underneath and can throw across his body on the run with ease. His pocket awareness and escapability along with his big arm make him a very intriguing prospect at the next level and could be a late signing day steal for a program.
Seastrunk has multiple next level offers from the likes of Clarke, Simpson, Puget Sound, Lewis and Clark, and Arizona Christian, among others. He is a bruising back that is a smooth runner for his size, has natural forward lean and runs behind his pads while looking for contact and finishing runs downfield. Through the hole, he has good feet when moving through traffic, can bounce off leg and ankle tackles while always falling forward at contact. In the open field, he shows a nice second level burst and deceptive speed on the edge while extremely tough to bring down as he gets going and does a nice job at staying behind his blockers/vision in tight windows before accelerating. He is another kid that can play either running back or linebacker at the next level, and will make a immediate positive impact on any of the schools that have offered him.
