Ayden showed off developing change of direction from the reps I watched out in Jamestown last Sunday. I also liked his growth he showed off his instinctive change of direction from the later reps I watched at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. Ayden also backed up what I saw later with his testing numbers, as a 4.58 shuttle certainly helped evaluate his COD better. Ayden is a two-way prospect that is still developing his craft for the running back position, as the tape lines him mostly at linebacker however watching his long-stretched vision correlates to what Ayden brings to the table at tailback, as one to watch out of Bismarck from the 2025 class. The most eye-popping 2027 prospect at the running back position hails from Aberdeen Central in Kalen Larson Kalen Larson 5’10” | RB Aberdeen Central | 2026 State SD , who was one of my favorite 2027s overall in Jamestown. The natural instincts Kalen showed off is what drew me into his live reps, as I was surprised early in our session that he was as young as he was with his agility he showed off. Consistency is a key word when evaluating testing numbers, and Kalen’s numbers showed that off a ton. He also showed off a more natural pass-catcher in 1v1 reps than we had expected, as a prospect I would give my 2027 offensive MVP from the Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase.
John is a prospect that showed plenty of growth from our Spring Showcase in Aberdeen to this winter in Jamestown. What popped out in our eyes? John certainly on one particular rep last Sunday showed off growing ball skills and a running back that was determined to finish that catch with the grit he showed on that particular rep. When you watch John’s tape, you see that workhorse mentality come out, as those who know I always love a matching skillset on tape from what I saw at a showcase which is the case with John’s skillsets. His downhill speed and agility also showed significant growth from a testing perspective, as a 2026 from McLaughlin, SD to add to your running back radar and one that is used to improvising on the fly with the ball in his hands. Yusuf was a prospect that I had a gut feeling after last summer at the NDSU camp that this young man was going to be a standout upcoming in the 2026 class, and the Bismarck Legacy running back showed just that on his way to our 1st Team All-Camp Team in Jamestown last weekend. What I saw in Fargo last summer, contributed to his route-running and hands, where as in Jamestown it was the agility Yusuf popped out with in the open field, showing off a RB prospect in the 2026 that is putting all his skillsets together smoothly. He posted a 9’6 broad jump and for a sophomore showed off a great frame at 5’10 180 pounds at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. You can expect Yusuf will stock-rise into our top 10 overall rankings in the 2026 class in North Dakota after his impressive showing last weekend as this young man I will call out early will be playing on Saturdays. One of the most impressive senior running backs we had in the building at the University of Jamestown was Mobridge-Pollock’s Simon Fried Simon Fried 5’7″ | 150 lbs | WR Mobridge-Pollock | 2024 State SD . Because of Simons’ track background I knew he would test well, as on the shuttle Simon logged a 4.36 and an impressive 9’7 broad jump which was the top number amongst all running backs at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. Simon showed off some elusive skillsets from the reps I watched in Jamestown, and being his track background he impressed me with how balanced his finish was with his runs I watched from him. Simon also plays bigger than the measurables you see and I believe would be a great running back fit at the NAIA level in the Dakotas to fill out your 2024 class in my eyes. Twitter

The newest commit of the Jamestown Jimmies and one of our running back standouts was West Fargo Horace’s Xavier Burrow Xavier Burrow 5’7″ | 150 lbs | RB Horace | 2024 State ND , who had an impressive day on his new home turf. Xavier’s most impressive number showed off in the shuttle at 4.39 and was just outside a 4.7 in the 40 yard dash at 4.72. It is clear as day that Xavier has really worked his tail off with his speed and agility from when we had him at our first Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Fargo a couple winters back as he has shown rapid growth with his fluidity in that time. Xavier also can be described as sneaky, as a running back that blends well around the edges with his elusiveness he has at his disposal. If I recall, I had Xavier as a 3rd team on my All-Camp Team and this time he found himself on our 1st team, which is a great example to young prospects to let your development do the talking over time like Xavier has done.
Meet our RB MVP from the Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase out of powerhouse Harrisburg (SD) Josiah Heinz Josiah Heinz 5’10” | 185 lbs | RB Harrisburg | 2026 State SD in
