Another wide receiver I would jot down as a stockriser from our last Spring to this Spring, would be McLaughlin (SD) 2026

. John cracked our second team in Sioux Falls, and is a wide receiver that it is clear has improved his route-running ability since last time in Aberdeen. The efficiency of his change of direction has seen an uptick as well, logging a fluid 7.31 in the L-Drill and just inside a 4.6 in the short shuttle. The upside John has for the WR position intrigues me, as thie versatility on tape he has shows you the football IQ that is there and not to mention you could see the COD directly from our combine to tape as John has got the growth sput I was hoping to see come thru. John is a prospect that showed plenty of growth from our Spring Showcase in Aberdeen to this winter in Jamestown. What popped out in our eyes? John certainly on one particular rep last Sunday showed off growing ball skills and a running back that was determined to finish that catch with the grit he showed on that particular rep. When you watch John’s tape, you see that workhorse mentality come out, as those who know I always love a matching skillset on tape from what I saw at a showcase which is the case with John’s skillsets. His downhill speed and agility also showed significant growth from a testing perspective, as a 2026 from McLaughlin, SD to add to your running back radar and one that is used to improvising on the fly with the ball in his hands.
