Another Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase veteran that continues to finish in our first team in the running back group is RB1 in the South Dakota 2027 class in Mobridge-Pollock’s

. He’s one of the most durable runners you’ll see regardless of class in the Dakotas and seeing Mack during the live evals in Sioux Falls was no different. The 5’10 223 pounder I thought has elevated his game with his pass-catching ability in the reps I got to watch showing off more sure hands and control when utilzing that change of direction he has. Mack should surely be a hot commodity for those D2 schools once he gets to camp this summer as Mack in my eyes is one of the most blue-collar running backs in the Dakotas that gives you all he’s got in every rep.

I said I loved the running backs in attendance right? In our 2027 South Dakota class, we have a consesus Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase alum, that I have started to lose track how many PRZ showcases it has been for Mack. We really started to see even more explosiveness out Mack at our winter Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase as that bar should be even higher on Saturday, with muliple D2 schools in attendance as Mack got his first D2 offer last winter at our showcase from Northern State. Not only is he one of the most durable backs the Dakotas has to offer in this 2027 class, but Mack has constantly been a RB prospect that shows off the blue-collar traits you look for in the running back position based on how he finishes every live rep. He’s one that should certainly jump out to the college coaches in attendance quickly on Saturday in Sioux Falls.

. We’ve covered Mack a ton in the last couple of years and I am sure we have said skillset wise most what we could say under the sun, but there’s more to this kid trust me on that. I haven’t gotten a live eval of a running back in this 2027 class in the Dakotas that competes with more competitive nature than you see from Mack on every rep and every carry he gets. He’s a contact seeker that wants to run thru you versus around you. He’s one of the most grittiest running backs in the Dakotas in this class and already has his first offer under his belt even before 2026 started.

Mack was one of a couple offensive skill studs that picked up their first offer on Sunday after our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase as we have been on Mack for a while, as our RB2 in the 2027 class in South Dakota. I have been convinced since college camps last summer, that running backs like Mack in this state are a dime in a dozen. He showed off the always consistent burst of agility, increasing speed, and power as he’s had an ideal next-level frame since we first idenitifed him a couple years ago. He got faster in the 40 yard dash (4.8s) and smoother with his his change of direction loggin a 4.59 and 7.28 in the L-drill which if you are looking for a running back that can finish with motor and durability, Mack is a running back you should target in the 2027 class that keeps getting better every live eval.

It’s should be pretty evident by the end of his junior season, that Mack is one of my favorite small-school running backs not just in South Dakota but the entire Dakotas. The 5’10 210 pounder from Mobridge-Pollock, has the athleticism and durability you want to have in your backfield and is one of those running backs that will wear the defense down the more carries he gets for the Tigers. I have seen it at muliple camps last summer, that Mack does the small details the right way and with efficency. He’s one of the best skill position prospects in this 2027 class from North Central South Dakota.

. You can check the receipts, that we have been on Mack for a while and he showed why he’s one of my favorite running backs in the state in this 2027 class. He’s moving with even more natural fluidity when he progresses upfield than even what I saw during camp season. Just because he’s added more open field vision doesn’t mean that Mack can’t take the secondary for a ride getting yards after contact as that continued to flourish in Week 3. His great camp season is leverging over to the fall season which I love to see.

. The tape doesn’t lie, the amount of elusiveness Mack shows off in tight areas within the inside box is quickly on display from his first rep. His durability is easiy the best in this 2027 class as I would love to know how many yards after contact Mack logged in 2024 as this kid is not at all afraid of contact and from the jump, has carried next-level measurables college coaches are going to want at the running back position at 5’10 205 pounds. Mack easily is the most blue-collar running back we have in his class as one that should start to intigue college coaches at camps this summer.

Mack was one pre-combine I had high expectations for with his live evaluation and I thought he made the most out of his combine experience with us in Sioux Falls. He added an impressive skillset that didn’t appear on tape which was his pass-catching ability which was one of his soundest traits all day as high-traffic or not, catch every ball that came his way. Mack also showed that he plays with a chip on his shoulder as I loved the energy this kid showed off in Sioux Falls all day on every rep he got. I have been clear that I love his measurable already, as Mack is just getting started on his next-level journey and has a high ceiling for it incoming.
