Some of these young men have already picked up offers, while others are still awaiting their first scholarship. With three years of high school eligibility remaining, these guys are only going to get better and should see a jump in their recruitment.
As always, If you have someone you think I need to see, please DM them to me on Twitter at @hsfbscout!
OT: Brody Lamb Brody Lamb 6'2" | 280 lbs | OL Lebanon | 2027 State OH , Lebanon
Lamb is a bit undersized right now, but he has plenty of time to sprout up. He’s physical at the point of attack, shows exceptional grip strength, and has plenty of turnover through his drive phase. Projects as a center or guard at the next level.
ATH: Eddie Holloway Eddie Holloway 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Taft | 2027 State OH Taft
A speedy slot receiver with big-time ability after the catch. Eddie runs up on a defender’s toes to break their cushion, he shows reliable hands on all three levels of the field and has plenty of wiggle in space. His vision and burst work hand in hand to exploit a crease.
DB: Josiah Gault, Wyoming
A possession receiver with great concentration on contested throws and no hesitation going over the middle of the field. On the defensive side, he’s a tough tackler who takes quality angles to the ball and can go up & climb the ladder to break up passes.
ATH: Kayden Edwards Kayden Edwards 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Ironton | 2027 State OH Ironton
Played some quarterback and defensive back and showed major potential at both. Kayden is an athletic prospect with good speed, natural football instincts, and serious playmaking ability in space. He’s rarely brought down by first contact, has exceptional balance, and has the patience to let the game come to him.
WR: Marking Payne, John Marshall
An easy hands catcher with natural deep ball tracking skills and the ability to dominate if left 1 on 1 on the perimeter. Payne has good downfield build-up speed, he can create chunk plays on quick game concepts and plays with the utmost confidence. This kid’s potential is through the roof and I think he’ll make his way onto scouts radars before you know it.
DT: Dayton Wallace, Darby
Wallace has the strength to shed blocks at the point of attack, he can fight off cut-blocks and plays with good leverage off the snap. He’s got some pop behind his hands, he can eat up double teams when the time calls for it, and will consistently chase the football.
