A week ago, Furtney wouldn’t have found himself on this list. However, the 6’5, 230 lbs tight end from St. Charles North recently opened up his recruitment. He was previously committed to Army. Furtney earned his second straight All-State honor this season, as the big-bodied and athletic tight end is an impressive receiver and blocker. He is a major threat in the red zone, whether he is an in-line tight end or a split out receiver. With elite body control, soft hands, and the ability to get open, Furtney is the total package at tight end. He also is a game wrecking defensive end. Whichever side of the ball Furtney finds himself on, he is sure to find a home soon.
Vincent Muci
Vincent Muci
Muci is a 5’10, 185 lbs running back out of West Chicago. The senior earned his first All-State nod this season. He is a downhill and explosive back who excelled in the Wildcat’s system. Muci is the type of runner who gets you 3+ yards a carry, even if rushing lanes aren’t there. And when they are, Muci showcases the ability to break off long runs with his quick burst and speed. He hits the hole with low pad level and powerful running, allowing him to gain the tough yards after contact. This hidden gem currently remains uncommitted but is sure to find a home soon.
The Wheaton-Warrenville South running back may be one of the most underrated players in the state, as Crider rightfully earned All-State honors after his final campaign. The 6’1, 205 lbs tailback was a key piece for the WWS offense. Crider, who boasts a big frame and plus athleticism, possesses a variety of moves that make him an elite running back. He is shifty in small areas, has solid speed, and can lower his shoulder to run through defenders. As every team that faced Crider learned this season, this back plays with a high motor and will wear you down throughout the game. Yet to find a home, this hidden gem will enhance any programs rushing attack from the second he steps foot on campus.
Highlights
The dual-threat quarterback out of Willowbrook put together an impressive senior season. Palicki has all the tools to be an elite quarterback at the next level. He measures in at 6’4, 215 lbs. Especially considering his size, Palicki is impressive in the quarterback run game. With plus speed and elusiveness in the open field, there is always a threat for Palicki to run the rock. In the passing game, he can make a variety of throws. Whether its pushing deep balls down the field, hitting intermediate shots into tight windows, or taking what the defense gives him on shorter throws, Palicki is the total package who is still available as the future starter for a lucky college program.
