Week seven has come and gone and there were plenty of standout performers in the second week of the WV high school football season. Here are 15 athletes that stood out during week seven of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='894721' first='Kaiden' last='Sims'] - Meadow Bridge '26 RB/LB

Sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='894721' first='Kaiden' last='Sims'] had one of the best individual performances of the season as Meadow Bridge downed Clay-Battelle 38-22. Sims eclipsed the 400-yard rushing mark in the game and scored an incredible six touchdowns. He scored on runs of 23, 49, 76, 72, 29 and 2 yards. Sims carried the ball 31 times with an average of 12.9 yards per carry on 402 yards. The most scary thing about his performance is the young man is just a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='1046932' first='Brandan' last='Isaac'] - Summers County '24 QB

Summers County senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1046932' first='Brandan' last='Isaac'] set a new school record for passing yards in a single game in their 52-6 win over Sherman. Isaac set the record with 377 yards passing while adding three touchdown passes to go with them. Isaac added a fourth touchdown with his legs and even had an interception on defense to cap a fantastic night for the senior Bobcat.

[player_tooltip player_id='1078417' first='Colson' last='Wichterman'] - Cameron '24 QB

The Cameron Dragons had a big night on offense in a high scoring 64-14 win over the Valley Lumberjacks. The senior quarterback had another big night carrying the ball as has been the case all season long for the Dragons. Wichterman carried the ball just 8 times but they went for 190 yards and four touchdowns on an incredible 23.8 yards per carry average. He also dabbled a little bit in the passing game completing 3 of 4 passes for 30 yards and a fifth score.

[player_tooltip player_id='862785' first='Isaac' last='Martin'] - Wheeling Central '26 RB

I got to catch Wheeling Central's game against Shadyside (OH) in person this week as [player_tooltip player_id='862785' first='Isaac' last='Martin'] and the Maroon Knights took care of business 48-14. The sophomore bruising running back had a big night on the ground and has really come on the past two games flashing his high-level potential. The 6'0 215 sophomore carried the ball 20 times for 221 yards and three touchdowns on an 11.1 yards per carry average which he also averaged last week. Martin was getting anything he wanted on the ground and the Tigers wanted no part of his hard running and big body. His balance and power were apparent in the game and Martin was breaking tackles on every carry.

[player_tooltip player_id='894624' first='Bryson' last='Elia'] - Tug Valley '26 ATH

Sophomore Tug Valley athlete [player_tooltip player_id='894624' first='Bryson' last='Elia'] is having a gigantic second year with the Panthers and went off yet again in a 48-0 shutout over River View. Elia scored in three different ways for his team and proving to be one of the top 2026 prospects in Class A. He rushed 17 times for 148 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 8.7 yards per carry. Elia also added two catches for 60 yards and another touchdown while adding two interceptions on defense with one going for a 74-yard touchdown, his fifth of the night.

Jayden Roop - Midland Trail '26 RB/LB

The sophomores were out in force this week as Midland Trail's Jayden Roop joined the party with a big night in a 41-14 victory over Liberty-Raleigh. Roop carried the ball 18 times and rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged just under 8 yards per carry and the Patriots snapped their three-game losing streak behind Roop's big night on the ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='894273' first='Cole' last='Vandall'] - Greenbrier West '24 QB/ATH

[player_tooltip player_id='894273' first='Cole' last='Vandall'] had another three-touchdown night for the Cavaliers in a monumentally big win over previously undefeated and #1 ranked James Monroe Mavericks. Vandall threw for three touchdowns to three different receivers in the game. He was 10 of 15 passing for 135 yards and added 16 carries for 72 yards with his legs. Vandall has thrown for at least two touchdown in all six games for Greenbrier West and has 14 total on the year. Most importantly, he has his team at a perfect 6-0 record and strong contender to win the Class A State Championship.

[player_tooltip player_id='1104858' first='Parker' last='Watts'] - Tolsia '25 WR

Junior Tolsia receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1104858' first='Parker' last='Watts'] has really come on for the Rebels the past few weeks and had a huge performance in their 42-32 narrow loss to undefeated Tyler Consolidated. Watts had a Randy Moss on the Vikings type of performance catching three passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns at an insane 61.6 yards per catch average. Watts would also return a punt 53 yards to the house and even had 13 tackles and an interception on defense rounding out an incredible game for the junior.

[player_tooltip player_id='370324' first='Maxwell' last='Molessa'] - Williamstown '24 QB/ATH

[player_tooltip player_id='370324' first='Maxwell' last='Molessa'] became Williamstown's all-time leader in total offense as the Yellowjackets cruised to a 62-7 blowout win over Calhoun County. He scored four touchdowns in the game and also made an impact on defense and special teams forcing a fumble on each including a scoop and score by a teammate. Molessa threw touchdown passes of 16 and 24 yards in the win while adding another two on the ground. He bounced back this week after a scary potential injury situation against St. Marys but thankfully returned this week and continued his bid for the Kennedy Award.

[player_tooltip player_id='1092726' first='Jared' last='Reall'] - Tucker County '25 RB/LB

[player_tooltip player_id='1092726' first='Jared' last='Reall'] has been an underrated player for the undefeated Tucker County Mountain Lions this season and has been a factor in the running game even with their spread offense. Reall went off against a quality Moorefield team in a 34-13 victory. He rushed for 217 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries as the Mountain Lions leaned on their running game in the win. Reall averaged 9.4 yards per carry for the game and added two catches for 20 yards. He also had a big night on defense with 13 total tackles and 2 TFLs.

[player_tooltip player_id='907169' first='Connor' last='Lambert'] - Wahama '25 RB

Wahama junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='907169' first='Connor' last='Lambert'] had about as efficient of a night running the ball as you can in the White Falcons' 48-6 blowout of Ritchie County. Lambert's services weren't needed for very long but he made quick work of the Rebels' defense. He carried the ball just three times but all three touches went for touchdowns. Lambert rushed for 110 yards on 36.7 yards per carry and also added three catches for 61 yards with 9 tackles on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1104876' first='Ashton' last='Boron'] - St. Marys '24 RB

[player_tooltip player_id='1104876' first='Ashton' last='Boron'] and the St. Marys Blue Devils took care of business in a big way with a 39-0 shutout of Webster County. Boron had a short but efficient night on the ground toting the ball just 10 times but for 113 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged 11.3 yards per carry and added an 80-yard kick return touchdown as well to bring his total to four on the night. Boron amassed 227 all-purpose yards in the win and had three tackles and a pass breakup on defense for good measure.

[player_tooltip player_id='894728' first='Brayden' last='Neff'] - Paden City '26 ATH

Paden City sophomore athlete [player_tooltip player_id='894728' first='Brayden' last='Neff'] makes his first appearance in our Class A weekly standouts as the Wildcats cruised to a 52-8 win over fellow Wetzel County rival Hundred. Neff has quietly put together a fantastic sophomore campaign and rushed for 167 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 15.2 yards per carry against the Hornets. In six games this season, Neff has accumulated 564 yards rushing and nine touchdowns on a 12.5 yards per carry average.

[player_tooltip player_id='907703' first='Chase' last='Littleton'] - Madonna '24 ATH

Madonna's Chase Little has returned to our weekly standouts in a big way as the Blue Dons get a much-needed 38-0 win over Beallsville (OH) after three straight losses to very good opponents. Littleton scored all five of Madonna's touchdowns as he ran in four and threw for another. He carried the ball 26 times for 194 yards and four touchdowns while adding 125 yards passing and a fifth touchdown on 6 of 11 passing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1234070' first='James' last='Vincell'] - Pendleton County '25 QB

Junior Pendleton County quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1234070' first='James' last='Vincell'] makes his debut in our Class A weekly standouts after a big night through the air in the Wildcats' 55-0 shutout of Tygarts Valley. Vincell completed an efficient 14 of 23 passes for 235 yards in the contest. Vincell hit three different receivers for touchdown passes with four touchdowns total. His touchdown passes went to teammates [player_tooltip player_id='1584437' first='Josiah' last='Kimble'], [player_tooltip player_id='1137709' first='Chase' last='Owens'], and Dusty Smith as the Wildcats cruised to their third victory of the year.
