North
Jacobs is playing his best football in his first year as starter, accounting for multiple TDs in each of Bishop Manogue’s seven straight wins heading into the playoffs. He’s been accurate and efficient getting the ball to his two standout senior WRs- Ben Scolari Ben Scolari 6’3″ | 185 lbs | WR Bishop Manogue | 2024 State NV and Domenic Marconato Domenic Marconato 6’1″ | 185 lbs | WR Bishop Manogue | 2024 State NV – showing natural arm strength and ball placement from the pocket. Jacobs and the Bishop Manogue offense totaled 35+ points against every in-state opponent this season (all wins). They’ll host the winner of #4-Reno and #5-McQueen as the #1 seed on 11/3.
Rios has put together a breakout sophomore season with multiple games of 200+ rushing yards for a total of 1,200 yards on the season and 14 TDs. He’s a compact, north-south runner that’s difficult to wrap with his downhill power and low pad-level. He’s constantly driving his legs through contact and shows vision and patience waiting for his blocks to set up. Rios has a strong case for the top RB spot in NV’s 5A D-II North playoffs. #3-Reed hosts #6-Damonte Ranch in the first round on Friday afternoon.
Highlights
Depaepe leads the state in tackles with 136 total and another 10 TFLs. He’s a plus-side athlete from his ILB spot with size (6’1”/190), speed, and power as a tackler. He plays fast and physical with compact burst in the box and sideline-to-sideline range out wide. Depaepe’s an under-the-radar LB prospect at the moment, whose stock should start to rise after his strong sophomore season. #2-Spanish Springs will host the winner of #3-Reed and #6-Damonte Ranch on 11/3.

Dew is Nevada’s leading passer and a top-15 passer in the country with over 3,000 yards and 37 TDs on the season. He’s a composed, accurate QB from the pocket that can fit the ball into tight windows over the middle and is particularly effective on intermediate-deep throws. He’s established a prolific connection with standout senior WR Tarrell Mack-Lovely Tarrell Mack-Lovely 5’10” | 170 lbs | WR Foothill | 2024 State NV , whose totaled 54 catches for almost 1,000 yards and 11 TDs on the season. Foothill suffered their first league loss in the last game of the regular season vs. Basic (32-49) placing them as the #2-seed vs. #7-Durango in the first round.
Anthony Vega
Anthony Vega
Vega turned in his biggest performance of the season in Basic’s last regular season game- a 49-32 victory over Foothill- to claim the #1 seed in the 5A D-II South playoffs. The senior QB has thrown for multiple scores while completing over 65% of his passes in Basic’s five-game winning streak heading into the playoffs. He’s a capable passer from the pocket that can spread the ball around the field and pick up chunks of yards with his legs when needed (8 rushing TDs on the season). #1-Basic will host the winner of #4-Green Valley and #5-Sierra Vista in the second round on 11/3.
Breslin is one of the top overall prospects in the 5A D-II playoffs. Faith Lutheran’s junior RB was limited by injury early in the season but has found his form recently, recording four straight 100+ yard games with 4 TDs in those games. He’s a well-balanced back with high-level athleticism and downhill power in the open field. He’s a skilled, natural playmaker that can catch, runs well, and can make defenders miss for explosive plays. Breslin has offers from UConn, Hawaii, FAU, and Campbell.
