He’s as well rounded a running back as you’ll see for a sophomore. Calilin is the second leading rusher in the GWOC conference. He has good vision and is a decisive runner. He hits the hole hard and has the ability to make quick jump cuts. The power and contact balance he runs with makes him extremely tough to take down. Even as a sophomore he’s already a guy teams have to gang tackle. He’s a very capable pass catcher and is used frequently in the screen game. He’s a violent blocker in pass protection, with the power to stalemate blitzers and take on larger defensive linemen. Talking to one of his coaches he has a good understanding of what they’re trying to do in both the zone and gap run schemes. He’s a player that I expect to get Power 5 attention in the very near future.

As a sophomore Grayson has been a big part of the Rams offense. He possesses explosive traits as a runner. He’s able to go zero to sixty in an instance. His ability to stop and go, and reverse direction make him an extremely tough runner to contain in the open field. Grayson has the ability to make quick and explosive cuts in a small space, leaving tacklers grasping for air. Because of his size some may mistake him for a runner who can’t play a physical brand of football, but that simply not the case. While he doesn’t seek out hits, he can lower his shoulder and deliver a blow to get the tough yards. On the shoulders of a strong 2023 season, Grayson’s recruitment should start to take off this offseason.
White has had a fantastic season for the state football power Ed’s. His signature performance of the season thus far was a huge week 9 game versus Archbishop Moeller. On the ground he the Eagles in rushing with 254 yards on 34 carries and 2 td’s. He also led the Eagles in receiving with 4 catches for 64 yards. White has top end acceleration off the snap of the ball. White runs with great vision and has the athleticism to improvise on contact balance to extend plays. As noted, Brandon is also a big weapon in the pass game. He’s a player that can be lined up in the slot and win reps versus defensive backs due to his route running and athleticism. Quite simply White is a playmaker and this offseason should start to see his recruitment begin this offseason and next camp season.

When you first turn on the film, the first thing you notice is a tough nosed, between the tackles runner. Kinsey is s a downhill runner who doesn’t mince plays trying dance. He’s a see hole, hit hole kind of running back. He has a nose for the endzone when running plays on the goal line. In the open field he has a little wiggle to make an extra yard. Grady also has good hands and is a threat to make plays in the passing game. He also plays linebacker on defense, so he’s player who rarely comes off the field. I’m excited to continue to watch Kinsey continue to develop physically and see where his career takes him.

Lakota East is a young team that has certainly taken its lumps this season. That being said they have some young players to be excited about. Ryder is one of those players. Though just a sophomore, Hooks was the third leading rusher in the perennially strong GMC conference for the 2023 regular season. At 5’7 165 pounds Ryder is a smaller running back that uses his size to his advantage as he his advantage he hides behind his blockers and darts back and forth to pick up yards. In the open field he’s an elusive runner who is able to absorb contact and stay on his feet. In the passing game, he’s a fluid receiver of the football and a has a great feel for the screen game. It will be interesting to see how his game grows and changes as Ryder continues to get bigger and stronger./
