is off to a strong senior year. The Air Force commit has 531 yards rushing and five touchdowns through the first two games. Kinsey can take direct snaps to the house, and has an uncanny instincts, knowing when to turn up the gears and be a vertical threat. He is athletic enough to play on both sides of the ball, and at linebacker he is a thumper on defense with a great motor, pursuit and range.

Kinsey is a tough, physical runner who loves contact and has tremendous balance. He led Indian Valley to a state championship and undefeated record in 2024. He was Ohio’s leading rusher and the fifth overall most-productive running back in the country last season, carrying the rock for 3,278 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns. He has been rewarded for his efforts with double-digit offers.

Kinsey was one of the most impressive running backs I saw all season long. He helped lead the way for not just Indian Valley’s first state championship in school history but also the first state championship from Tuscarawas county. Kinsey doesn’t go down off first contact and he can explode past you. In the state championship, the Indian Valley offense scored every possession and only passed one twice, and one of those passes was Kinsey completing a pass that went for a 50-yard completion.

Kinsey, who picked up his first offer from Toledo just two weeks ago, is a very strong running back who is very muscular with thick legs. He leads the state in both rushing yards (2,523) and rushing touchdowns (34). He runs a whole lot bigger than his 5-foot-9 size would indicate, displaying above-average top-end speed in space. He shows good burst and acceleration as an outside runner as well.

When you first turn on the film, the first thing you notice is a tough nosed, between the tackles runner. Kinsey is s a downhill runner who doesn’t mince plays trying dance. He’s a see hole, hit hole kind of running back. He has a nose for the endzone when running plays on the goal line. In the open field he has a little wiggle to make an extra yard. Grady also has good hands and is a threat to make plays in the passing game. He also plays linebacker on defense, so he’s player who rarely comes off the field. I’m excited to continue to watch Kinsey continue to develop physically and see where his career takes him.

Grady is having a great season so far. His outstanding play has helped the Indian Valley Braves to a 4-2 record where they have averaged 33.2 points per game. He shows very good vision as he finds the open hole with great burst as he gets through the hole very quickly. He accelerates to top speed immediately once in the secondary and uses his outstanding play speed to outrun all defenders as he scores on a long touchdown run. He displays very good mental toughness as he improves his play when he is in the redzone.
