What a phenomenal win for Mount Carmel this past weekend over Southern Columbia. The Tigers are a well-built, oiled machine year in and year out. The Red Tornadoes, however, came in with a great game plan this week and executed it to perfection. Beating Southern Columbia two years in a row is highly impressive.

Blessing has been a great running back for Mt. Carmel this season with five games of 100+ yards coming into last week and then against a very good Southern Columbia defense, the junior tailback ran wild. He averaged 6.3 yards per carry, eating up yard after yard while helping lead Mount Carmel’s offense on the ground. A tough runner with good athleticism, Blessing is a prospect that is emerging as someone to know in District 4.
To go along with Luke Blessing’s great performance, Xavier Diaz Xavier Diaz 5’9″ | 145 lbs | ATH Mount Carmel | 2024 State PA also had a great performance for the Red Tornadoes with 10 receptions for 207 yards and two touchdowns. The athletic speedster gave Southern Columbia fits throughout the night especially in open space, its hard to catch the 5-foot-9 Diaz. He’s having a terrific senior season with 37 receptions for 768 yards and eight touchdowns.
The senior tailback for Selinsgrove earns another game ball this week. Teats picked up his seventh 100+ rushing yard performance of the season and is doing it on minimal carries. Against Holidaysburg, Teats totaled 190 yards and three touchdown across just seven carries. The senior tailback listed at 5-foot-10 and 185-pounds is averaging a ridiculous 13.0 yards per attempt this season including 20.6 yarsd per carry over his last three games. He also has 23 total touchdowns on the season with 21 rushing touchdowns and 2 receiving scores.

While Central Columbia did come out on the losing end of the game, junior tailback Ty Regan had a strong day on the field with nine carries for 92 yards including a long of 60. Regan is listed at 5-foot-10 and 201-pounds, playing running back and linebacker for Central Columbia, he’s also a varsity wrestler for the Bluejays.

It was an efficient day for 2026 quarterback Kaiden Mauerer against James Buchanan last weekend. Maurer had his best day of the season, completing 10-of-12 passing attempts for 176-yards and three touchdowns. This season, the 6-foot-2, 175-pound quarterback has completed 39-of-66 passing attempts for 678 yards and 10 touchdowns to just two interceptions. He’s also totaled 116 yards and three touchdowns on the ground across 32 carries.

The senior tailback out of Wilkes-Barre had a monster day in a 55-14 win over Williamsport, rushing for 154 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. It was his third 100+ rushing yards day of the season as he’s totaled 870 yards this season and is averaging 7.0 yards per carry. A smaller tailback at 5-foot-9 but is a powerful runner, weighing in at 210-pounds.
Patrick’s strong junior season for Danville continued this past weekend, leading the Ironmen to a 49-6 win over Berwick. Patrick completed 12-of-17 passing attempts for 303 yards and five touchdowns. The 6-foot-0, 175-pound quarterback has a good arm and has shown accuracy to all portions of the field this fall. He’s completed 65.2% of his passes this season for 1,769 yards and 30 touchdowns, while throwing just three interceptions.
Highlights
Loomis’s performance against Mountoursville this past weekend has become what is to be expected of the senior quarterback. Loomis completed 21-of-32 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns while leading Jersey Shore to their fifth straight victory. Loomis has been spectacular over the Bulldogs’ last three games, passing for 893 yards and six touchdowns to one interception.
