Teats has been outplaying his ranking throughout the entire season and continued to do so against Jersey Shore.

Teats was the driving force behind Selinsgrove’s win over Jersey Shore, totalign 280 yards and one touchdown across 33 carries which included an 87 yard touchdown run in the third quarter that put Selingsgrove up 36-13.

The well-built 5-foot-10, 185-pound Teats has totaled nearly 2,000 yards from scrimmage this season as well as 28 touchdowns. Teats displays exceptional vision and pateince as a ball carrier, identfying open holes and has the burst to capitalize on those opportunities on a regular basis.

The senior tailback for Selinsgrove earns another game ball this week. Teats picked up his seventh 100+ rushing yard performance of the season and is doing it on minimal carries. Against Holidaysburg, Teats totaled 190 yards and three touchdown across just seven carries. The senior tailback listed at 5-foot-10 and 185-pounds is averaging a ridiculous 13.0 yards per attempt this season including 20.6 yarsd per carry over his last three games. He also has 23 total touchdowns on the season with 21 rushing touchdowns and 2 receiving scores.

Coming off an 150-yard, two-score opening night performance against Delaware Valley back in Week 0, Tetas looked to top his senior debut against Juniata. He did just that, racking up 230 yards for three scores, quite literally topping what he put on two weeks ago. The tape shows a train full of momentum before even reaching the second-level. Talk about trusting his vision and instincts. Teats, working primarily out of an I with a fullback lead-blocking, hit each hole with a purpose. Tempo, good pacing, combined with exemplary acceleration between the tackles had Teats lose early and often in this one. Love to see this kid boost his stock each week.

I’m cooking up a later piece highlighting what he can provide college football programs interested in his game. He’s ranked as a top 25 back in his class, yet doesn’t have any opportunities under his belt. I’ll do what I can to change that. Teats did all he could at the Future Freaks camp to change that as well. Teats showed off a trait we all love out of his game, his pass-catching abilities. Downfield or close to the LOS, Teats showed coaches he’s a viable option if involved in the passing game. Teats was moving each time I looked over at the backs, often having LBs chasing well downfield. Dominant showing from a guy who deserves some praise. Posted a 4.6 40 time.

Selinsgrove rising junior can really go, averaging over 6 yards per carry last season. He also totaled over 1,000 yards rushing and that with missing a few games due to injury. This multi sport athlete for the Seals is also a star in the classroom boasting a 3.9 GPA. Whether its football, wrestling or baseball, this young man will make his presence known at the next level.
