Schools are having their homecoming weeks. Best of all, the potential college prospects across the state are hitting their groove and putting up gigantic numbers, and that is why we are here! To dive into the film o these great performances and give them the spotlight they deserve. Let’s get started!
Stats: 4 Receptions, 120 Yards, 2 TDs, 60 Punt Return YardsrnThe junior WR out of Monona Grove has continued his strong season since I covered one of hisgames in person early this season. In Week 7 Cal really demonstrated his big play threat. The rising junior is elusive with the ball after the catch and as a punt returner. He sees the field, sets up blocks, and has the speed to pick up massive chunks of yards. Woerth is just as dangerous before the catch as he is after. No question, Cal can take the top off the defense, and demonstrated it a couple times in Week 7. He tracks the ball easily, and the hands are very reliable, even while making in traffic catches.

Stats: 19/30, 322 Yards, 4 TDsrnReece does not possess the prototypical size, and that may scare off some teams, but he does possess a prototypical arm, footwork, and mechanics. Let’s start from the bottom and work our way up. Reece’s feet are lightning quick. They allow him to quickly set and reset before getting the ball out. He moves his feet with his eyes and has the ability to get outside the pocket and buy time or hurt the defense on the ground. Moving up to the arm. The ball jumps out of his hand with impressive velocity. He may not be big, but his fluid mechanics are able to generate plenty of power behind the ball to fire it downfield. The senior also has excellent accuracy to all levels of the field. On top of it all, Reece does a great job leading his team. He handles a big part of the offense’s success and is up for the challenge. Give the hidden gem in the Class of 2024 a look!

Braeden Little Braeden Little 6'2" | 165 lbs | WR Ladysmith | 2025 State WI
Stats: 6 Receptions, 121 Yards, 3 TDs, 1 Punt Return TDrnLadysmith is home to an intriguing junior WR prospect. A prospect who put on a show in Week 7. Braeden Little Braeden Little 6’2″ | 165 lbs | WR Ladysmith | 2025 State WI is a 6’2″ 160 lbs WR blessed with a lot of natural talent for the position. His speed stands out from the crowd and allows him to create big plays when he gets the ball in open space. Little is becoming an effective route runner who can get out of his breaks with ease, which opens up plenty of separation for his QB to target. The hands make catches look effortless also. The junior also offers special teams value with his playmaking as a return man. Braeden is new to my radar, and I’m excited to watch him develop over this next year and cover him.
Stats: 12 Carries, 125 Yards, 3 TDsrnBrett has stepped up into a big role for the Cashton offense and defense in his senior season. Friday night the senior really thrived at RB. We saw an athlete who was very difficult to drag down. An athlete with good power to break tackles, and the contact balance to match that allowed him to take hits, be hit into awkward angles, but still maintain his feet. Brett has solid natural instincts with the ball. He feels cutback lanes, makes defenders miss, and reads blocks naturally. The senior is also a physical presence at LB. Check out his film and consider him at either RB or LB.

Stats: 5 Receptions, 97 Yards, 3 TDsrnEau Claire Memorial has a very talented WR room. One of the key athletes at the position is junior Tay Ferguson Tay Ferguson 6’3″ | 195 lbs | WR Eau Claire Memorial | 2025 State WI . Tay is a legitimate mismatch at the position. He has great length for the position at 6’3″, but can also simply run right by DBs. The playmaker does a great job of finding the balling the air and going and getting it. Ferguson also possesses next level body control that allows him to make sudden breaks. His burst into and out of those breaks add to his mismatch because DBs have a hard time reacting to and staying with him through the cuts. I’m very excited to cover his recruitment. He is definitely an athlete to know in the Class of 2025.

Brady Gross
Brady Gross
Stats: 14 Carries, 139 Yards, 1 TDrnThe Coleman rushing attack has been a dominant one for years now. This year’s bellcow back in the system is senior Brady Gross. Brady’s highlights show an RB who excels with his ball carrier vision. He sees the field so well, reacts to blocks and running lanes, and seems to always have a feel for where the opening is or how to set up the defense. Brady’s speed also seemed to be a mismatch for the Tomahawk defense. Gross was able to break off big gains and stretch the field laterally with his speed. This is a D3 prospect worth checking out. The film from Week 7 is below.
Stats: 33 Carries, 156 Yards, 1 TDrnSnyder has fully stepped into the starting RB role along with his LB duties from last year and taken over. The 5’10” 205 lbs bowling ball of a runner is a load to bring down. His natural low center of gravity and power in his lower half gives Peyton the ability to run over LBs and pile up yards after contact while setting a physical tone for the offense. Snyder is a north-south, between the tackles runner who would rather make a hole than juke around until he found one. You better have your chin strap tight when you try to bring down the Mondovi senior.
Highlights
Stats: 17 Carries, 165 Yards, 2 TDs, 3 Receptions, 70 Yards, 1 TDrnThe 5’11” 195 lbs junior RB is an athlete who I see having an exciting recruitment over the next year. He dominated the summer camps that included a 4.39 40 at the River Falls camp. That speed has translated to the field on Friday nights. Give this kid a seam and he is gone. Lawton has the type of speed that erases pursuit angles from defenders. He can get outside of contain, stick his foot in the ground, and be gone. Furthering the mismatch that he is for his offense, Cooper is a natural receiver out of the backfield. Getting him the ball out in space like that makes him even harder to contain because the defense can’t swarm to him until he has the ball. The junior is very elusive in the open field. He is looking like an excellent RB prospect that will provide a next level team with a mismatch advantage. Get Cooper on your boards early.
Davyn Edge
Davyn Edge
Stats: 10 Receptions, 129 Yards, 1 TDrnTeams looking for a tall, possession WR in the Class of 2024 need to have Davyn Edge on their list. Davyn checks in at a solid 6’3″ 185 lbs, and he understands how to use his size to create separation between the ball and the DB. The big WR is physical after the catch, and will run through tackle attempts from DBs. The senior also does an impressive job of ensuring that he comes down with the ball. Whether high pointing it, laying out of it, or showing off strong hands as he pulls it in through contact. Edge dominated in the short passing game where he could catch and get up field and fight for yards. Get this kid on your radars. A name to know for the D2/D3 level for sure.
