This week on Prep Redzone Oklahoma, we’re putting a spotlight on some of the top 2026 prospects in the state. From guys who have been shining since they were freshmen to others who are enjoying breakout seasons this fall, we got it all covered. On Monday, we released our updated 2026 rankings. Throughout the week, we’ll be breaking down different position groups and overall standouts in the state’s 2026 class so far. In this post, we’re putting the spotlight on the quarterback position. From signal callers that have been starting since they were freshmen to others that are waiting their turn, the 2026 class has some interesting quarterbacks to watch. Keep it locked in throughout the week for more breakdowns on 2026 prospects. And check back every Monday in October for more prospect ranking updates!
Locust Grove quarterback Titan Hix Titan Hix 6’3″ | 210 lbs | QB Locust Grove | 2026 State OK continues to hold on to the top spot amongst the quarterback group in the 2026 class. Hix is a quarterback that really impressed us last season when he was at Hennessey as a freshman. From his first start, Hix made it clear that he was going to be a player to watch. Hix made the move to Locust Grove this offseason as his dad took over the head coach position in eastern Oklahoma. It’s certainly been an adjustment and the Pirates have struggled this season. But Hix has still led a Locust Grove offense that has been improved and he’s once again putting up strong numbers as a passer and a runner. Hix really impressed us and a few college coaches in attendance at our last camp.

Millwood sophomore quarterback CJ Turnbull CJ Turnbull 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB Millwood | 2026 State OK has been starting since the first game of his freshman season. He’s climbed the quarterback ranks and is now at the #2 spot in the state’s 2026 class. We really like his game and have had the chance to see him grow as a passer. We were at his first start as a freshman in 2022 and he didn’t look like a freshman that was overwhelmed in a game against the eventual 3A state champs. This season, Turnbull continues to look calm, cool and collected when he’s in the backfield. The Falcons were so close to the ultimate goal of a state championship a year ago. With Turnbull leading the way, he has Millwood as a serious contender in Class 2A this season once again.

Writing about Sand Springs quarterback Easton Webb Easton Webb 6’4″ | 205 lbs | QB Charles Page | 2026 State OK as a football prospect is always interesting because we feel like we have to preface it with the fact that he’s committed to Oklahoma State to play baseball. Webb has been committed to the Cowboy baseball program for about a year now but he’s still an interesting prospect to watch at the quarterback position. This season, the Sandites are certainly a run-first team with their two-headed monster at running back. Despite that, Webb has been able to make plays with his arm when he needs to. He definitely takes chances and that has led to some turnovers. But Webb is still a quarterback that has a lot of potential moving forward in the 2026 class.

Southmoore quarterback Cruz Campbell Cruz Campbell 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Tuttle | 2026 State OK continues to be a name to know and he had a solid start to his sophomore season. He put up some strong numbers and it appeared that his efficiency at the position has gone up from his freshman year. At this time last year, Campbell was trying to figure things out as he was thrown into the fire. While Southmoore has still struggled on the scoreboard this season, you can see certain improvements in Campbell’s game from last year to this fall. The first thing that really stands out is his confidence level. And that’s something you come to expect from a quarterback going from year one to year two as the starter. We’re looking forward to seeing the next growth in his development.
Highlights
Choctaw quarterback Landon Gatson Landon Gatson 6’3″ | 210 lbs | QB Choctaw | 2026 State OK certainly has a high ceiling as a prospect but he’s going to have to wait his turn. At the start of the season, Gatson was in a battle for the QB1 job at Choctaw. While he still sees some playing time, he’s just been used in certain situations. Despite that, Gatson is still a quarterback prospect to keep an eye on moving forward as he waits for his moment at the position. Gatson immediately passes the eye test when you see him in person. Physically, he looks the part and he has a strong arm and an ability to tuck the ball and run. As Gatson continues to polish areas of his game as a passer, we won’t be surprised to see his playing time go up when that happens.
A lot of what we wrote about Gatson can be repeated here with Stillwater quarterback Conner Quintero Conner Quintero 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Oklahoma | 2026 State OK and it’s not a coincidence that these prospects are ranked right next to one another. Both quarterback prospects earned D1 offers very early on in their high school careers. Both are having to wait their turn as Quintero has seen some playing time but it has been limited for the defending 6A-2 state champions. We’ve seen plenty of Quintero during the offseasons at various camps as well as 7v7 tournaments. He always looks the part in those settings. The only thing left to see is him shining on Friday nights. Like Gatson, Quintero is still a prospect to keep an eye on moving forward because of his high ceiling.
