Continue ReadingKaseem Hall Kaseem Hall 6’0″ | 205 lbs | RB Willingboro | 2028 NJ is a load at 6’0 225lbs. He is a nice size player for multiple positions in high school, college, and pro. Oddly, he is still playing middle school ball at various positions. On offense he reminds me a lot of the great power backs that understood when to be a battering ram and when to jump outside and create business decisions for the secondary. Arm tackles won’t do and hitting Kaseem up high is a no no. You better get him before he gets started. I had to laugh seeing so many reps of using him in the Wildcat that is kinda genius in short yardage or goalie situations. On defense, he plays the antagonist to all backfields which is linebacker. He fills gaps and is agile enough to get into his drops. This kid is a beast and as he continues to grow, I believe he’s going to make his presence felt whatever position he chooses.
Highlights
Matawan Huskies have a ball hog in Nosym Brown Nosym Brown 5’9″ | 160 lbs | ATH Bergen Catholic | 2028 NJ . Standing at 5’9 this athlete has quickness, speed and hops. When the ball is in the air, it doesn’t matter when side of the ball he’s on because more times than not, Mr. Brown ends up with the ball. I really like his instincts and hip mobility. He gets in and out of breaks well at receiver, then drives on the ball with precision at defensive back. To add a little more value to his game, Nosym can return kicks and is a threat to reverse the field.
Name a skills position on offense or defense and he can play it. I’m referring to Raheem Blackwell Raheem Blackwell 5’10” | 145 lbs | ATH NJ . A 5’10 stud with size and speed. I would assume if asked, Raheem just wants the ball in his hands. This young man has good ball skills, jump cut moves, and strong legs to muscle through tackles or drag defenders past the down markers. Being a taller player, plays right into bullying the opposing defense inside the tackles or looking into the backfield to get a jump on a pass. Either way there is a whole bunch of raw talent in Blackwell that is consistently being honed before he graces the high school field next year.
Right out the gate you have to compare Terrance Barnes Terrance Barnes 5’5″ | 130 lbs | ATH NJ to former Kansas State All-American Deuce Vaughn who currently plays RB for America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys. When you’re undersized in a physical sport as football, many spectators can count you out. It gets worse on the field because you become a target. Deuce has obviously proved all his naysayers wrong. I see the potential of Barnes doing just that moving into high school. This boy got wiggle, hands, and a fearless demeanor that if not careful, you will end up on his highlight tape. Hiding behind his line patiently then exploding through the hole to the end zone while taking some ankles on the way is common. What shocked me most was Barnes is a good defensively as well. QBs think they can pick on him and there has been plenty of times they got picked off not respecting my by Terrance Barnes Terrance Barnes 5’5″ | 130 lbs | ATH NJ dawg in him.
Jason Berecsky Jason Berecsky 5’11” | 180 lbs | LB Red Bank Catholic | 2028 NJ is listed at 6’0, 170 pounds (unverified size) right now and is one of the more impressive 2028’s in the Garden State thus far. Suiting up for Sayerville Bombers for his final season of pre-high school ball, he’s playing on a different level than those around him. As a running back he shows off favorable agility and looks like he sees holes or jump-cut lanes open before anyone else does. As a linebacker he has mastered the art of filling a hole and scraping to make a tackle on the same play–something that is quite difficult to do. It’s hard to say what position he projects to long term, because there is decent height right now, so I wouldn’t rule out a future at outside linebacker or strong safety. If he hasn’t already started, it would shock me if one of the storied private schools in New Jersey didn’t scoop up the Central Jersey standout.rn
