Through just four games, he’s already tallied 48 carries for 483 yards and five touchdowns. He’s also added five receptions for 57 yards and a score through the air, plus a punt return touchdown to cap off his versatility.
At 5’6”, 140 pounds, Barnes may not have prototypical size, but his explosiveness makes him dangerous anytime he touches the ball. In the open field, he has the juice to take any play the distance. His agility and quickness consistently stress defenses, and he’s clearly established himself as the main engine behind Riverside’s offense.
If he keeps up this level of production, Barnes will be one of the most exciting players to follow in South Jersey this season.

When you’re undersized in a physical sport as football, many spectators can count you out. It gets worse on the field because you become a target. Deuce has obviously proved all his naysayers wrong. I see the potential of Barnes doing just that moving into high school. This boy got wiggle, hands, and a fearless demeanor that if not careful, you will end up on his highlight tape.
