Without any further ado, here’s my list of some highly explosive 2025 playmakers to keep an eye on this upcoming Friday as week three of the season kicks off.
1. George MacIntyre George MacIntyre 6'5" | 190 lbs | QB Brentwood Academy | 2025 State TN – QB – 2025 – Brentwood Academy
At the top of my list is George MacIntyre George MacIntyre 6'5" | 190 lbs | QB Brentwood Academy | 2025 State TN , a 6-foot-5, 190-pound quarterback at Brentwood Academy. What makes MacIntyre so dangerous at the helm of the Eagles’ offense is his speed, well-balanced playstyle and ability to get the ball out of his hands quickly off the snap. I am additionally impressed with MacIntyre’s passing as he can hit his receivers in stride on quick passes as well as deep shots down the field. With great footwork, composure under pressure and precise passing, MacIntyre should be worth keeping an eye on in week three of the season.

2. Brenden Anes Brenden Anes 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Page | 2025 State TN – LB – 2025 – Page
I am also impressed with Brenden Anes Brenden Anes 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Page | 2025 State TN , a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker at Page High School. Anes is a highly explosive defensive playmaker on the Patriots’ roster, proving he can quickly punish the offense off the snap, create pressure and sack the quarterback. In addition to outstanding athleticism and durability, Anes impresses me with his quick footwork, impactfulness and ability to pounce. Anes contributes the ability to both overwhelm the offense and disrupt their production. He should not be slept on in week three.

3. Chauncey Gooden Chauncey Gooden 6'4" | 315 lbs | OL Lipscomb Academy | 2025 State TN – OL – 2025 – Lipscomb Academy
Claiming the number three spot on my list of standouts is Chauncey Gooden Chauncey Gooden 6'4" | 315 lbs | OL Lipscomb Academy | 2025 State TN , a 6-foot-4, 315-pound offensive lineman at Lipscomb Academy. Gooden has proven himself as a crucial component of the Mustangs’ offense, exerting his strength and physical edge to blast the defense, knocking the opposition to the ground, creating running room for the offense and forcing disorganization among the opposition. Gooden will definitely be an interesting prospect to watch out for on the field in week three.
4. Cameron Sparks Cameron Sparks 6'4" | 210 lbs | TE Baylor | 2025 State TN – TE – 2025 – Baylor
Another high-level playmaker to keep an eye on is Cameron Sparks Cameron Sparks 6'4" | 210 lbs | TE Baylor | 2025 State TN , a 6-foot-4, 210-pound tight end from Baylor High School. Sparks has made a considerable difference offensively for the Red Raiders this season, hauling in more than a few significant completions as well as several touchdown passes. What makes Sparks so explosive is his breakaway quickness off the snap and ability to body defenders in the backfield, using strong movement and bursts of speed to blast past the defense and into the endzone. Sparks is certainly worth watching this upcoming week.

Morgan also stands out due to his quick positioning off the snap as well as his ability to disrupt the passing game down the stretch. I also like how Morgan uses his physicality and strength in coverage, muscling receivers out of position. Entering week three of the season, Morgan should be a crucial difference maker to keep an eye on.
