Demond Williams Demond Williams 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB Basha | 2024 State AZ , Basha ’24
Williams is probably the most popular player in AZ here in 2023, as he recently flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to Arizona, sending Tucson into a frenzy. Dual threat, state championship winner returns on a loaded Basha squad and could very well repeat as your open division state champs. He’s been one of the most electric players in the state the past 3 seasons, and that will not change here in 2023. He really hasn’t had a bad year yet and has seemed to take huge leaps in that ability/maturity window each year, and I think we’re about to see a special season from Williams this fall.
Navi Bruzon Navi Bruzon 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB Liberty | 2024 State AZ , Liberty ’24
Bruzon is another electric dual threat QB that I have a ton of respect for. He sizes up at 5’11” 190lbs and possesses a ton of raw athleticism with a natural playmaker ability. The worst mistake defenses and programs could make is labeling him as “undersized”, as he holds a ton of competitive toughness and plays like he’s 6’3″ 220. Excellent twitch and burst with COD to make opponents miss on the ground, but also possesses that “IT” factor you look for as a passer with a quick release and ability to process reads at the snap of a finger. Definitely in Bruzon’s corner as he enters his senior campaign.
Kalen Fisher Kalen Fisher 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Highland | 2025 State AZ , Highland ’25
The 2022 6A state champ will enter his junior season with 4 offers (Arizona, Central Michigan, Colorado State, San Diego State) and projects to be a double digit, highly touted QB prospect by the middle of this season. Ideal frame and build at 6’4″ 200lbs with really good athleticism to burn defenses from all phases of the game. He earned his spot last season and should take a massive leap in production here in 2023, as he comes off a year where he threw 1,161 yards and 7 TD’s in just an 8 game span.
Wyatt Horton Wyatt Horton 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Pinnacle | 2025 State AZ , Pinnacle ’25
Horton has been the talk of the state this offseason and is well deserving of a spark in his recruitment. After knowing top 2024 QB Dylan Raiola transferred into Pinnacle, Horton didn’t flinch once and was ready to compete. Horton will once again have full reigns of that Pinnacle offense and looks to be playing with a chip on his shoulder. Smart football player with the ability to hit all 3 levels of throws with velocity or touch and can pick up yards on his feet if needed. He’s trending into a well polished QB and a legit division 1 prospect, and I’m looking forward to see if/when Horton will take that leap this fall.
Enoch Watson Enoch Watson 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB ALA Queen Creek | 2024 State AZ , ALA-Queen Creek ’24
Watson is the fresh face at ALA-QC after transferring in from Coconino, and he and the rest of ALA-QC will get the biggest test in history of their program’s existence as they bump up to 6A this year. Watson is a playmaker behind center and hasn’t even really came close to his ceiling. He’ll finally get the opportunity to showcase much more of his arm at ALA-QC, as Coconino is a super run-heavy team. Although he can get it done with his legs, I’m looking forward to seeing Watson get then opportunity to command an offense and let it fly downfield on the regular this fall.
