I have long been partial to the talent of Georgia and this 2028 group is following suit. While the skill guys tend to develop and stick out earlier, there is no shortage of linemen with incredible size, either. From 6-foot-2 up to 6-foot-6 in just the eighth-grade, the article blow features five class of 2028 Georgia linemen with varsity-ready size, a full year before they even start high school.
Hurst is a prospect that has been on my radar for the last two seasons, coming from the feeder program of national powerhouse program–Grayson. At 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, he’s an athletic kid for his size/age and it isn’t just limited to the gridiron. A three-sport athlete, Hurst plays basketball, which is somewhat normal for most young, big guys. However, he also plays lacrosse, which is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. The defensive end/defensive tackle hybrid showcases the speed and agility he continually develops in the other sports, on the football field. He moves exceptionally well at this point and has all the makings of a prospect that should see recruiting attention in at least both football and lacrosse.
Webb-Scott is the second tallest (unofficial) Georgia 2028 lineman prospect in this article, billed at a staggering 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds. It’s a big year for Webb-Scott who has reclassed from 2027 to 2028 and looks to rebound from a very serious injury a year ago, that caused him to miss an extended amount of time. After suffering a compound fracture and dislocation of the femur bone from the knee, Webb-Scott has worked all the way back and is set for the 2023 season. He would have been one of the top defensive linemen in Georgia for the 2027 class had he stayed there, but there’s no getting that missed development time back. Nonetheless, he’s back three inches taller and 20 pounds heavier since the last time he took the field. There’s no longterm damage from the injury and the defensive end is ready to go full tilt for Buford this year.

The lone offensive lineman on this list, college coaches and talent evaluators across the country should be excited for Fielder. Having just turned 13 years old in June, he has started to turn he corner physically, as a prospect with a very high ceiling for the future. Over the last calendar year, he has added substantial mass to go along with his tall frame and is now listed at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds–more than 25 pounds heavier than my last update on him. Fielder has good, bordering on great feet for an eighth-grade left tackle and it comes from the hours of work he puts in on the basketball court. The Carrollton Trojans have an embarrassment of riches all over the field for years to come, and all the skill position playmakers should be able to break the huddle with a sigh of relief knowing Fielder is on their side.

The tallest Georgia 2028 prospect in this write up is none other than 6-foot-6, 240-pound defensive lineman Calvin Williams Calvin Williams 6’7″ | 240 lbs | DL Hephzibah | 2028 GA . Williams’ 6-foot-6 height is verified, legitimate and terrifying, which makes him an obvious choice as the “get off the bus first guy”. While he is the tallest in this write up, he’s also the prospect that I’d bill as the biggest project. His size is undeniable at this point and he has a bit of a mean streak when he rumbles in the trenches, but he’s a very raw player. As most can imagine, being so tall and long at this age, doesn’t typically translate to being the most agile. He has work to do in terms of speed and agility, in addition to developing a set of moves to beat offensive tackle’s with. However, he’s in a phenomenal state for development and if he wants it bad enough and stays on the field, he’ll be able to create a future for himself playing football after high school.
Like Hurst, Webb-Scott and Fielder in this write up, Chase Foster II Chase Foster II 6’4″ | 225 lbs | DL GA is another prospect I have literally watched evolve from a kid who was bigger than everyone else, to a kid who is bigger than everyone else and plays at a very high level. For much of the last two years I had Foster down as an offensive lineman due to his build and skill set, I have finally changed my mind and can see why the 6-foot-3, 215-pound athlete wants to be listed as a defensive lineman. He has become very fast off the ball as a pass-rushing defensive end and his early film from this 2023 season has him looking violent and mean. This off-season he went on visits to Auburn and Georgie Tech, and enjoyed both experiences. They certainly won’t be Foster’s last.
