10/20/25: A bit of a positionless player, but I project him to eventually grow into an EDGE full-time. Acts as a run-and-chase defender right now. Impressive closing speed to the ball with a developing first step. Battles hard at the point of attack, will improve as he adds play strength. Would imagine FBS and P4 programs at least want to see him camp.

The 6’2 220 DE has the potential to move to the LB spot and make a big impact for the Eagles. Good frame with a strong upper body and long arms. He showed outstanding footwork and moves around like a DB for a guy his size. He played u several positions in the Spring, lining up at the Edge and at LB. Aggressive who plays each down with a lot of intensity.
What Stands Out: Good fluid motion for his size
Outlook: Hurst’s role on the deep Collins Hill roster will expand over the next few years. As he continues to develop physically in the weight room, he has the potential to become a highly recruited LB or even a TE at the next level.

One of the better 2028 pass-rushers across the state, this talented freshman brings a promising 6-foot-2 220-pound frame with a max-effort style of play. Collins Hill is loaded with talented defenders, so while Hurst had to wait patiently to see the field, his natural talent and ability to attack the quarterback was easy to see. He’s quick off the snap and has a chance to make a big name for himself next season as a sophomore if he continues to perfect his craft this offseason. He has a high-ceiling and it’s only a matter of time before big offers start flooding his way down the road.

Every great defense starts up front, and this elite defensive lineman is proving to be a game-changer in the trenches. Standing out with his combination of power, speed, and relentless motor, he wreaks havoc on opposing offenses, making his presence felt on every snap. His explosive first step allows him to penetrate the backfield with ease, disrupting plays before they can even develop. Whether it’s shedding blockers, collapsing the pocket, or stuffing the run, he consistently makes game-altering plays.
What sets him apart is his versatility. He has the strength to dominate interior linemen in the run game and the agility to rush the passer off the edge. His hand technique is refined beyond his years, using violent, well-timed moves to disengage from blockers and create pressure. Coaches rave about his work ethic and high football IQ, as he constantly studies film to anticipate offensive schemes and exploit weaknesses.
With his combination of size, athleticism, and relentless effort, this defensive lineman is on the fast track to stardom. As his dominance continues, college scouts will be lining up to recruit a player who has all the tools to be a future force at the next level. Keep an eye on him—he’s a nightmare for offenses and a cornerstone for any defense.

Hurst is a prospect that has been on my radar for the last two seasons, coming from the feeder program of national powerhouse program–Grayson. At 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, he’s an athletic kid for his size/age and it isn’t just limited to the gridiron. A three-sport athlete, Hurst plays basketball, which is somewhat normal for most young, big guys. However, he also plays lacrosse, which is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. The defensive end/defensive tackle hybrid showcases the speed and agility he continually develops in the other sports, on the football field. He moves exceptionally well at this point and has all the makings of a prospect that should see recruiting attention in at least both football and lacrosse.

was another 2028 prospect to pick up an invitation to the UA Next Game for his performance at the camp. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 220-pounds, he has impressive movement for an athlete at his size and on this level. His agility and quickness for a young big man has been developed in part from also playing lacrosse and basketball, while mixing boxing into his training also. The Grayson High School pipeline shows no signs of drying up any time soon.
