Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
Another 2029 prospect who landed a big offer from the Georgia Bulldogs this week, Davis is a rangy, playmaking safety with length and ball skills at 6-foot-1 180-pounds. As a freshman last season, playing on a loaded Collins Hill defense, Davis made an impact with his 27 tackles and one INT. He plays fast, plays physical, and is bound for a terrific sophomore season this fall. He’s a really impressive Gwinnett County defensive back on the rise who will likely continue to dominate and earn more offers on the camp circuit this summer.

A young, rangy safety who knows how to play the run and deliver a sound hit on the ball-carrier, Davis is a fast-rising Gwinnett County defender having an impressive first season for the Collins Hill Eagles. He plays bigger than his size, shows good instincts, and has made his presence known early this season. He’s just a freshman, but the talent and natural feel for the game is easy to see. Playing against quality competition on a weekly basis, David has held his own as he’s made 18 tackles and has forced one fumble. His best football is still ahead of him and he’ll see a new ranking come his way when the next 2029 Prep Redzone rankings are updated this winter.
