Chase Foster II
About Chase
Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
An impressive EDGE defender with enough size and strength to move inside, Foster is a “breakout” candidate as a sophomore next fall. He’s quick off the snap and if he continues to improve and develop his craft over the next four months, Foster could be tough to stop next season. He brings a promising frame, he’s a strong athlete, and has the potential to be one of the best in the state in the 2028 class. He added recent offers from Georgia and Georgia Tech with more on the way.

While it’s still early and he has yet to fully break the varsity seal, Chase Foster is already one of the premier big guys in the state in the 2028 class and already claims half a dozen offers. He certainly passes the eye test, looking all of his 6’4 240 listed frame and likely holding more weight than that. He looks strong enough to physically manipulate people yet light enough on his feet to attack with some finesse. I will need to see him in person or see some full-season tape to confirm all I just said, but P4 schools aren’t offering for no reason. He looks to be one of the most physically mature 2028 prospects in the land.

The Arkansas Razorbacks were also the first team to get on the board with promising defensive end prospect,

. Foster is somewhere between 6’2 and 6’4 depending on where you look, I happen to think he’s towards the taller end. He’s an athletic specimen hunting QB’s at all times.

is another prospect I have literally watched evolve from a kid who was bigger than everyone else, to a kid who is bigger than everyone else and plays at a very high level. For much of the last two years I had Foster down as an offensive lineman due to his build and skill set, I have finally changed my mind and can see why the 6-foot-3, 215-pound athlete wants to be listed as a defensive lineman. He has become very fast off the ball as a pass-rushing defensive end and his early film from this 2023 season has him looking violent and mean. This off-season he went on visits to Auburn and Georgie Tech, and enjoyed both experiences. They certainly won’t be Foster’s last.

Foster earned an invitation to the Under Armour Next Game, to be played in January of 2024. Measuring in at 6-foot-2 and 200-pounds, the future is bright here. Saw him live last summer as a member of the Georgia Future Stars before a tremendous regular season with the Central DeKalb Dream Chasers. Personally still think that with his frame, he could easily end up as an Offensive Tackle when it’s all said and done. Nonetheless a future talent and earned the nod on the Defensive Line with his effort.
