If the offense is finding a hard time to get into the end zone it falls all on your shoulders to smile, grin, and bear it. The state of Florida has no talent shortage and the youth seen can get crowded with talented players who can play at a high level in multiple positions. Below I would like to highlight five quarterbacks that I think have a future staying put in the pocket.
Hailing not far from Gainesville, Tristan Bryant Tristan Bryant 5’11” | 165 lbs | QB FL aka “Trip” aka “Show Time” is a dual threat lefty coming in at 5’10 and around the 150 to 160 pound range. This kid is exciting to watch and will not disappoint for price of admission. Very athletic playmaker that packs a punch with a strong lower half and a arm to compliment it. A highlight that sticks out to me the most is when Tristan went air born, hurdling a defender in the Future Stars game and kept running. He made it look way to easy. Having the capability to roll out, bootleg, launch deep balls, and or pull it down to turn into an above average ball carrier is a problem. Mr. Bryant has a bright future no doubt!

Another dual threat lefty with speed to grace this list is Terel Dallas Terel Dallas 5’11” | 165 lbs | QB FL who holds a couple of offers already (UAB, Arkansas). When you can flick the ball and run like Mike Vick coaches start to get in line. Dallas is a lean 5’11 165lb nightmare for defensive coordinators. Especially, in the youth arena. How do you stop a young QB who can march his counterparts down the field with finesse using his arm or legs. My follow up question, is basically, “how do you want it?” Send your D-Ends crashing off the edge and the RPO will come out. Try to apex the #2 WR and he’ll throw over the top or run off tackle for a huge gain. Dallas also separates himself with his maturity and leadership. No wonder he was moved up in the Future Stars game. As he continues to develop his game with hitting timing routes, throwing back shoulder dots, Dallas will also extends plays using his legs. Keep a very close watch on this one.
University of Miami verbal offer holding Neimann Lawrence Neimann Lawrence 6’1″ | 175 lbs | QB Ransom Everglades | 2028 FL is a dual sport stud. Nicknamed the “Air Show” he put on immediately in his first scrimmage of the year dressing out for the Ransom Everglades. Living up to his alias, Neimann went off for only a half of play totaling 314 yards and 4 touchdowns at the helm. During the off-season he secured his UA All-American invite at camp by showcasing his abilities. He checks off all the boxing and is most comfortable standing upright in the pocket with his 6’1 length. One of the many attributes that stands out for me is his timing and willingness to stand in the pocket, even when it’s collapsing to deliver the accurate throw.

Daniel Terry Daniel Terry 6’1″ | 175 lbs | QB Wiregrass Ranch | 2028 FL ‘s most recent field action started off with a 53 yard scamper out of the gun evading tackler after tackler setting the tone for his team out the gate this week. His growth is evident not just at the Quarterback position, but physically gaining a few more inches and some pounds to go with it over the past year. Terry is flirting with 6’0 and a little over 170 lbs. This dual threat signal caller is smooth in his drops, and spins it with confidence. Whether your his primary target or a running back slipping out the backfield, Terry will find the open man and shows great poise by not being careless with the football. His body continues to speak for itself.

What would an ideal prototypical quarterback look like? Jayden Wade Jayden Wade 6’3″ | 180 lbs | QB IMG Academy | 2028 FL . Tall. Lengthy. Muscular. This means nothing if you can’t play right? Jayden Wade Jayden Wade 6’3″ | 180 lbs | QB IMG Academy | 2028 FL is a baller! Receiving the nod from UA All-American game was a lay up. Then he pocketed offers from Utah and San Jose St. Oh and he’s suiting up for IMG to fall in line as the next big prospect out of this juggernaut academy. Let’s hold off on his projection and just talk right now. Jayden has sharp mechanics, a natural throwing motion, elite feet, great hip mobility, and don’t get it twisted, he’s strong. All of these attributes add in to his explosive play making ability. He can get the ball to whoever, however. The soft touch on his passes from his laser throws to fit in small windows is already in his toolbox. With the type of work ethic and solid environment around him, it will be hard to not reach his full potential which is a terrifying thought for his competition.
