They’re the hero when things go right and the punching bag when things go wrong. Georgia has long been a factory for top quarterback talent on every level of football from flag through college and beyond. The Peach State signal callers in the class of 2028 are no exception to what has become the norm. Here’s a look at five QBs that should be among the most talked about prospects in the state after the 2023 season.
Mr. Robinson’ parents new what they were doing when they named there son “Cannon”. No matter if it’s throwing a football or baseball, this kid has the goods. Standing at a lean 5’9ish and 135 pounds, Cannon produces results with his unique elbow below the shoulder release. As he gets older and stronger, I can only assume his delivery might change just a bit. But like they say, “if it ain’t broke, why fix it?” Makes a whole lot of sense when you have multiple Quarterback of the Year honors to accent the most recent MVP trophy for beating Team Florida in the Future Stars battle representing Georgia. Cannon Robinson Cannon Robinson 6’0″ | 160 lbs | QB GA ‘s skill set at QB brings a maturity to the pocket, accurate ball placement, and poise.

Baby Mahomes is in the building, and he goes by the nickname “The General.” Christian Cypher is arguably the best QB around the country in his class. This Under Armour All-American can do it all…literally. The footwork. The touch. The IQ. The toughness. The leadership. The way he approaches each competition is ELITE. I must say, it is very impressive to watch a young signal caller put every attribute that you would want your quarterback to have, on display. CJ can sit in the pocket, keep his eyes and feet active while picking a defense apart. Roll out, bootleg, how do you want it? He can throw against the grain with the same zip as planting his feet to drop a 35+ yard dime to a receiver for six points. I conclude there is no ceiling to this kids potential and it will be exciting to watch him develop through his last year before taking on Friday night lights.
Flirting with 6 feet and weighing a solid 160 pounds, Carson Hand Carson Hand 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Edmund Burke Academy | 2028 GA is one of the top players at his position. His long muscular frame allows him to play pitch and catch out the backfield all day long as long as you leave him upright in the pocket. This kid has played with and against some of the best competition out there. The Peach State is producing some must know names at quarterback and he’s amongst the best. The skill set at this position can vary, but when it comes to throwing mechanics, Mr. Hand would be a luxury Cadillac. Smoooooooth baby. Ask any receiver who has been on the receiving end of the football falling into their bread basket perfectly. Keep and eye on this three sport athlete to load up offers in the years to come.

Taking the snap at 5’11 and 160 pounds, Degala got the goods. A little similar to Carson Hand Carson Hand 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Edmund Burke Academy | 2028 GA ‘s body type and the assumption of just being a pocket presence. I would say not to stereotype this pro style QB so quickly, though. He can move, and has large hands to spin it all over the field. Might not seem important, but you can tell he loves the game of football as well by his approach. Check off the box for smarts too because he maintains a 4.0 and has the football IQ to match. This season will be a big year for Degala as he looks to close the gap on some of the guys perceived to be ranked higher than he is.

Prince Aminu Prince Aminu 6’0″ | 155 lbs | QB Woodward Academy | 2028 GA wants to be the best. His off-season is full of training and skill development to achieve this goal. Right away you can conclude that he is a dual threat Quarterback who makes good decisions with the football. This young man delivers catchable balls to his receivers in a way that allows them to run for more yards after the catch. Prince is not afraid of taking chances across the middle or when fitting the ball over the shoulder of a seem to be covered wideout downfield. He’s really fun to evaluate when running an RPO play against a team trying to slow him down. Pick your poison.
