Carson Hand
Carson Hand
About Carson
Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Tall, linearly built QB. Has plenty of room to add mass. Effortless, easy pop on the ball, which really flashes when he pushes it over the top. Long, natural thrower of the football. Mechanics and footwork are raw. He is generating both drive and distance on the ball with just his arm. Booming potential once everything tightens and his weight catches up. Would consider him in the top group of 2028 QBs in GA regarding arm strength.

is one of the more well-developed 2028 arms I’ve seen. He stands at 6’1 175 and plays with a firm base. He has a baseball background as well, something often desired in QB prospects. He is a bit raw, possessing a hitch at the top of his release. However, he throws a heavy ball that arrives on time with some heat. He should be viewed more as a passer, but does enough with his legs to keep defenses honest. Once he improves his mechanics, Hand’s game should only elevate.

As a seventh-grader, Hand had a nice showing Prep Redzone Next Middle School Camp in Georgia last spring and then secured me as a believer with his performance in the Future Stars Game. He followed that up this year, as an eighth-grader, by standing out at a second PRZ Next Middle School camp this past January. You can now add a second Georgia Future Stars selection to his resume. A year ago I compared him to former five-star and current Louisville quarterback, Harrison Bailey. Hand hasn’t grown vertically all that much since last year, so I doubt he’ll reach the 6-foot-5 mark like Bailey, but he still has excellent size at 6-foot and 170 pounds. He knows the Future Stars landscape well and should provide ability and leadership.

is one of the top players at his position. His long muscular frame allows him to play pitch and catch out the backfield all day long as long as you leave him upright in the pocket. This kid has played with and against some of the best competition out there. The Peach State is producing some must know names at quarterback and he’s amongst the best. The skill set at this position can vary, but when it comes to throwing mechanics, Mr. Hand would be a luxury Cadillac. Smoooooooth baby. Ask any receiver who has been on the receiving end of the football falling into their bread basket perfectly. Keep and eye on this three sport athlete to load up offers in the years to come.

– I fell in love with Hand in the practices leading up to the seventh grade Georgia Future Stars game’s against South Carolina and Florida. Some of our scouts at our PRZ Next Camp in Georgia mentioned there was a seventh-grader that could spin it…and they weren’t wrong
– Stands 5-foot-11 and 150 pounds right now and reminds me a lot of former four-star recruit and current Louisville Cardinal quarterback, Harrison Bailey. Both stand tall in the pocket, have a beautiful throwing motion and can run if situation called for it
– During the games, Cannon Robinson did his thing at quarterback and won the overall MVP in the championship game over Georgia. However, I saw everything I needed to see out of Hand in the reps he got leading up to the contests

Easily one of the top three overall quarterbacks at the Future Stars Game event, regardless of class. Hand stood tall in the pocket and has one of the sweetest throwing motions I’ve seen a quarterback have in this 2028 class. He reminds me a lot of former Georgia HS football standout and current UNLV quarterback, Harrison Bailey. Hand looks nearly identical to how Bailey looked at this age on the field, from physical appearance in pads to ability on the field.

Hand brings the prototypical pocket passer style to the seventh-grade Georgia Future Stars team. He’s on the roster at 5-foot-11 and 150 pounds and has some nice zip on the ball. We saw him (and
