Continue ReadingKeon Powell Keon Powell 6’1″ | 180 lbs | DB Cardinal O’Hara | 2024 State PA , formerly out of St. Joseph’s Prep, will now suit up for the O’Hara Lions. Labeled and identified as one of the better unoffered senior defensive backs, Keon Powell Keon Powell 6’1″ | 180 lbs | DB Cardinal O’Hara | 2024 State PA hopes to wipe his slate clean and fly back up our ranks as a corner who was once placed inside the top 150. 6’1, 180, with prior experience against some of the most talented wideouts in the state, those being his prior teammates at SJP, Powell should be well equipped to handle PCL Blue opponents. We got through covering Bonner-Prendie recently, O’Hara is going to need cover guys like Powell to match up against the likes of Hall, among others.
Highlights
Unranked prospect, 6’3, 200, TE/DE, 4.8 GPA, recently voted a Lion captain.
Formidable size whether he’s stationed on either side of the ball. A majority of his reps on tape convey a pass-catcher who can align in multiple sets, some bunch, some slot work, some in-line work. Really like his hands and ability to catch through traffic. Comes down with some tough grabs that ask for strong hands. Seams, curls, hitches, stick routes, all of these are in the kid’s route repertoire. Not many DE reps on tape, yet maybe he’ll see that role expand this coming Fall.
20+ catches for 200+ yards.
Interested to learn more about this young man. 6’2, 195, recently named a captain along with Ethan Schulcz Ethan Schulcz 6’3″ | 200 lbs | TE Cardinal O’Hara | 2024 State PA . No tape that I could find on the OLB/RB. No stats on the kid either, so I can’t give a proper eval of his game. Yet the Lion coaching staff clearly trusts in Zion Knox Zion Knox 6’2″ | 210 lbs | LB Cardinal O’Hara | 2024 State PA , naming him a captain is noteworthy. Some weightlifting clips, I see Knox working local college camps too. I’ll have my eye out for the kid when I attend an O’Hara game. Is a track and field participant.

Legitimately excited about Schulcz, Knox, and Kojo Totimeh Kojo Totimeh DL PA . Knox and Totimeh don’t have any tape on Hudl, so I might be reaching based on measurables, yet I imagine the Lion coaching staff is equally excited about what Totimeh could provide the O’Hara defense. 6’5, 190, self-lists as an edge rusher. Looking at this senior class, O’Hara could station a senior class that’s a bit more formidable than their 1-9 record suggests. These four playing well will go a long way in the Lions turning things around.
Nathan Kutufaris Nathan Kutufaris 6’6″ | 260 lbs | OL Cardinal O’Hara | 2025 State PA was identified after diving into new 2025 names for our most recent ranking update. Kutufaris, who stands at 6’6, 245 pounds, now ranks as the program’s top prospect. To the ignorant, that might not seem like much of a compliment. The team barely won a game last Fall. That doesn’t mean that this program isn’t loaded to the brim with young, up-and-coming talent waiting to blossom on the field. Kutufaris, albeit an upperclassman now, is a crucial cog in the youth machine at O’Hara. 1st-Team All-Catholic honors, 5.24 GPA, Kutufaris puts forth a limited but promising 2-minute tape that shows off some of his best reps at left tackle. Bendy, athletic hips and knees. Almost looks like an oversized tight end when moving. Plenty of authoritative run-blocking reps that left opposing edge rushers know he’s not to be taken lightly. A tone-setter, could likely play both sides of the ball if asked to. I hope the young man can capitalize on some of the hype surrounding his name, as we currently have him ranked as a top-five lineman prospect among his 2025 classmates.
Highlights
The Lions leading receiver this past Fall. John Welde John Welde 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Cardinal O’Hara | 2026 State PA ‘s go-to target. Epps reeled in 30 balls for a tick under 400 yards. Four of those 30 receptions went for scores. Epps also registered 34 tackles, 6 TFLs, 1 Interception and 9 PBUs. Safe to say that this young man was one of the more valuable prospects in a Lion uniform last Fall.
5’11, 150-pounds, two-way prospect who also participates on the court. To my knowledge the only junior to be named a captain. Can align comfortably outside the numbers, both at corner or at wideout. I like the attention to detail given to his release off the LOS. He’s often in a better position early in his routes, leading to separation later in routes. Good after the catch too, has some reps on tape where he’s flat-out making kids look silly. Epps will provide starting-quality reps at corner, yet I like his future projection to the offensive side of the football.
Sidique Kamara Sidique Kamara 6’1″ | 205 lbs | LB Cardinal O’Hara | 2026 State PA , a sophomore we’ve liked since the class debuted on our site, will likely see the majority of the snaps at back, considering John Shelton is no longer in the building. O’Hara had a tough go no matter who was running the football, as five different backs attempted to run the football more than 30 times last Fall. None of which reached the 125-total-yard mark in rushing. That being said, Kamara has the tools to break out at this position. If he doesn’t, the breakout candidate can still make his presence felt at linebacker. To my knowledge, four of the top six tackle-getters last Fall have moved on. This is a fantastic opportunity for Kamara to cash in on both sides of the football. Opportunities will likely be had, here’s to hoping one of the more promising PCL sophomores took the offseason seriously and is prepared for Friday nights.
A top-15 ranking for a quarterback who only won one game last Fall is a bit of reach. That being said, O’Hara’s John Welde John Welde 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Cardinal O’Hara | 2026 State PA did all he could to get the ball moving through the air, shockingly throwing for 1,370 yards, paired with 10 touchdowns through the air. Last Fall was Welde’s freshman season too, so I’m hardly going to use the poor situation against him. Confident, a passer who sees what’s in front of him, one who can throw with tempo and touch. A downfield locater too, there’s a lot to like out of this kid, who now can say he’s had a full offseason working as the Lions starting quarterback. I’m excited to see if his sophomore-year tape will convey any advancements in his game. Will he take a step forward in accuracy, in understanding the offense, in maturity, in physical growth? We will see. The kid shouldn’t be taking anyone by surprise moving forward.
Here’s an underclassman I’m excited to see get going this Fall. No tape, some 7v7 clips, some hype around his name in this area. I’m waiting to rank the young man, I’ll wait for an eval until proper tape is had, we’ve got our eyes on him though.
Identified early as a promising guard/tackle/IDL prospect. 6’3, beefy, expected to start inside what used to be a porous offensive line unit. Albeit a freshman, I expect this kid to be an immediate difference-maker. He might not be polished to the coach’s liking, yet kids are still going to have to move this 300-pound monster out of the way if they want to make tackles in the backfield. I’ll get to see just how far along this young man is soon enough. I’ve already begun sending his name to college coaches I’m close with.
Another incoming Freshman that could surprise in the PCL. 6’2 already, 190 pounds, and carries it well from what I can tell. Self lists at RB/DL, I can see him playing OLB too if the coaching staff deems it the right fit. He’s a track and field contributor too. I’ve got a feeling he’ll be a known local name in due time.
Third incoming freshman that I’ll have my eyes on. Small, but apparently a hard worker. Time will tell if he’ll be written about again in the future.
