First we will review offensive and defensive prospects that shined during the combine, athletes who appear physically ready to play college football, and conclude with positional breakdowns of the talent on-hand. These breakdowns are only from my subjective on-site observations. They do not take into consideration film, highlights, or anything else.
Incase you missed any event coverage, here are the articles currently published related to the AVC Mega Football Camp:
Grady, a product from Newark Eastside, was a linebacker that shined during indy periods. What caught my attention about Grady was how well he was able to change direction, as he moved very fluidly without slowing down much. This ability of Grady’s also came in handy during one-on-one sessions. t was often matched up against more slight, quick backs; however, he was able to compete and move with the majority of them as he showed the ability to do so from the camp’s onset.
Coming all the way from the greater-Leondardtown, Maryland area is Matthew Green Matthew Green 5’10” | 180 lbs | DB St. Marys Ryken | 2025 State MD . Listed as a corner, my notes had him down taking linebacker reps – although this may be inaccurate. I liked Green’s game a lot. He did an outstanding job of jamming his matchup at the LOS, disallowing any cheap-and-easy releases. This said, it appeared as if his matchups had one thing in common: they all appeared to be visibly frustrated by him. This pesky nature of Green’s is a big intangible as he demonstrated not just physical ability, but the ability to take multiple players out of their games.
There is more than meets the eye when considering what Sinclair brings to the table. At 5’8″ and officially 192lbs, he packs stout and solid frame from his linebacker spot. I got a really good look at Sinclair during indy where he had a great showing during drill work. He moved quickly and efficiently during agilities and exploded down hill without false stepping during position-specific drills. He looked good when he took pass drops as well and caught just about everything he got a hand on.
Muhammad, a recent import to Immaculata, looks to have improved upon something I previously noted about his game. My initial write up when I reviewed his film noted how violent a tackler he was and that there was room for growth in terms of agility. Not sure if Muhammad read my scouting report, but he certainly got the message. Muhammad looked very smooth on the field, particularly when moving laterally – which he also did extremely quickly. With improved agility I expect him to suffocate ball carriers more quickly than every before and generate even more power than he already has, making for highlight hits.
