Our total list of prospects covered in Fargo nearly hit 40 with this Part IV list of standouts I am about to add. With all the talent at NDSU, I hope we can get more Midwest scouts eyes on prospects from all over the country in Bison Country as we already look forward to next summer!
Gavin is a local prospect that everywhere I catch him at camps, he keeps developing from our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase to the NDSU prospect camp from a couple weekends ago. He has seen steady gains with his athleticism since May’s showcase which was on display well up in Fargo. To me, what was most impressive was his elusive skillsets he showed with his hands, as I thought consistently at NDSU, Gavin showed off a fluid rip with his hands that showed off more versatility in his game. On tape, Gavin shows how smooth he looks with that athleticism I mentioned, as a athlete that uses his longer strides to get ample separation out of high traffic areas. Gavin certainly is a prospect on either side of the ball that will give you 110% on every rep as he’s certainly a determined athlete in my eyes.
Luke Schwartz
Luke Schwartz
Luke was a offensive linemen that was a first look prospect out of Wisconsin that showed off some upside with how well he moved with his first step to the ball at NDSU. He consistently showed off a strong plethora with his vision, as he maintained steady hands with his pad-level up in Fargo and also showed off some violence with his leverage with that first step alone. Luke is a prospect that on tape, could line up on either side of the ball at the next-level, as I believe he has a deeper ceiling of upside as a defensive tackle. He shows off the vicious punch at offensive guard that does a great job with his angle blocking getting his man to the turf. He also has a clear knack of vision defensively to close the gaps quickly in the running game to gobble up the ball carrier. He is certainly a prospect to have on your radar to play on Saturdays in my eyes as he has a solid showing at NDSU.
Spencer Payne
Spencer Payne
Spencer Payne was a prospect out of Osseo, Minn that was new to my Minnesota radar that had a good showing up in Fargo at the NDSU prospect camp. What I liked most about Spencer was the flowing base he showed off in his stance and showed off solid hands at the point of attack from the reps I got to watch from him in Fargo. On tape he shows off prospect that can get to the second level with instinction in his first steps off the snap and also has a balance pad-level. With his senior season upcoming, I would like to see more aggression with his hands, as although he plays with superb balance he certainly can add more invasion with his hands going into his senior season.
Matthew is an offensive line prospect that has continued to rise in my eyes from the 2022 season to what I saw out him at the NDSU prospect camp. His determination and focus on the reps I watched out of him in Fargo showed off his hugely growing football IQ. Matthew also had persistent pad-level and excellent leverage he showed off in those reps from NDSU. He did a fantastic job locking in and attacking his defender’s inside hip as well in Fargo, as Matthew is a 6’4 250 pound offensive linemen that certainly is deserving of more next-level attention despite two offers already from the Division II level. Over the last several months, I have continued to evaluate this young man as a Division I FCS fit to one of the Dakota schools as there I love the ceiling Matthew will develop over his college football career.
Logan showed off so much fluidity in every rep I caught out of him up at the NDSU prospect camp as a offensive linemen with a feisty first step off the snap. Whether it was in Brookings or up in Fargo that weekend, the hip drive and flexibility Logan has really set a steady tone especially in his Indy Drill reps I got to watch. Anytime you watch a prospect at a sizable prospect camp like NDSU get pulled for more and more reps, that is the sign of prospect that college coaches continuously want to see more out reps out of. Logan’s aggression and positioning with his hands won him a significant amount of reps on tape as this young man has an excellent pad-level on every rep from tape and has those fighting hands you want in your offensive line group. From watching him on Thursday in Brookings to Sunday leaving NDSU, Logan collected five offers in the Northern Sun and I would not be surprised to later this summer him get an FCS opportunity come his way as he is certainly not done yet with his recruitment growing.

Rylen is a Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase alum, that showed off some well-balanced skillsets in what I watched out of him at the NDSU prospect camp. The biggest concept I could grasp from watching Rylen work with college coaches on Saturday, is how quickly he can pick up his skillsets from listening with his high level of attention to detail as I saw Rylen connect 1v1 with a college coach and start developing his technique with his hands to a higher level and it stuck like glue with him for the rest of the camp. I also like the reactive speed Rylen has getting his hands in position. As a 2025 OL prospect, he has plenty of time to develop more elusive punch with his hands with his good pad-level he gets on tape as I already saw some stock-rising improvement up in Fargo with the physicality Rylen could show. Rylen is also a prospect that has excellent character that would be a huge asset to a next-level locker room at 6’3 230 pounds and still has plenty of frame to tack on in the coming years.

A very recent North Dakota commit, William consistently has caught my eyes time after time this spring and into summer with how much he has developed from the 2022 season. What did William show me at NDSU? The continuing growing fluidity he has in his hands for sure, as this kid was certainly violent in the 1v1 reps I got to watch in Fargo. He also showed off that continued growing advanced pad-level and an excellent base at the point of attack. I always had William in my eyes as a Division I prospect and he proved truth to that on June 29th, coming to the Fighting Hawks next year. Congratulations William!
I’m super excited to announce my commitment to the University of North Dakota! I want to thank my family, coaches, teammates, and most importantly God for making this dream a reality.#LGH 🦅🟢⚪️@UNDfootball @BubbaSchweigert @pawlakjoe @dfreund7 pic.twitter.com/tqxzbutK2l

Noah Schuette
Noah Schuette
Noah was the first North Dakota new name on this Part IV list of standouts from the NDSU prospect camp, and one that showed off some interesting traits. He showed off some sound hands with his ripping ability thru contact and certainly played with a solid level of physicality at the point of attack in Indy reps. At 6’1 225 pounds, Noah shows much more aggression on tape than you would expect with those measurables as this kid consistent puts his defenders on the turf with how much feist he has in his hands ,which he showed off to me with consistent up in Fargo. To those college coaches out there looking for a hidden gem, you will also like how much this young man blocks thru the whistle on a visible basis with his junior tape, as a 2024 offensive linemen I will be adding to our North Dakota rankings here before the fall season starts.
