Today, we take a look at some big-time playmakers in the state of Pennsylvania in the class of 2024 for you to know. We are not going to include some of our higher-ranked players, such as RB [player_tooltip player_id='64565' first='Quinton' last='Martin'] and wide receivers [player_tooltip player_id='141010' first='Tyseer' last='Denmark'] and [player_tooltip player_id='255045' first='Rico' last='Scott']. But instead will be making a bit of a deeper dive.

ATH [player_tooltip player_id='91527' first='Colin' last='Brady'] (West Greene)

The 6-foot-2 athlete out of West Greene has great size to go along with some good speed as well, with a reported 4.48-yard dash and a 4.22 shuttle. An explosive player who plays both running back and free safety. Averaged 12.01 yards per rush last season and totaled nearly 1,900 rushing yards.

ATH Simeir Wade (Kennedy Catholic)

Wade plays a little bit of everything for Kennedy Catholic. Wade has a nice size at 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds and shows nice speed to his game as well. Totaled 1,328 rushing yards and averaged 9.2 yards per carry last season.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='256147' first='Ethen' last='Knox'] (Oil City)

The state's rushing leader totaled an incredible 3,705 yards and averaged 9.62 yards per carry over nearly 400 attempts. Some will try to point out that he doesn't play in the most difficult conference, but he has shown this offseason that he just doesn't have good size at 6-foot-1 and 190-pounds but also has very good speed with a 4.57 forty-yard dash recorded at the All-22 regional in State College earlier this offseason.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='142807' first='Marquis' last='Carter'] (Bishop Canevin)

The 5-foot-11 Bishop Canevin back is one of the biggest playmakers on the western side of the state. Last season against a tough schedule, Carter averaged 8.5 yards per carry while totaling over 1,500 total rushing yards.

RB Adam Johnson (North Bedford)

Good size at 5-foot-10 and 185-pounds - no reported 40-yard dash time but does have a 100-meter time of 11.7. According to MileSplit.com's conversion calculator, that is approximately comparable to a 4.88 forty-yard dash. So not elite speed, but a powerful runner who does have a good amount of speed and athleticism to his game as well. Johnson averaged 8.4 yards per run last season and is a threat to break off a long run at any moment.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='377195' first='Aaron' last='Crossley'] (Wyoming Area)

Crossley was a top-five running back in Pennsylvania last year in rushing yards with 2,115 over 222 carries. Crossley averaged 9.53 yards per carry on the season. Crossley is a well-built running back at 5-foot-10 and 205-pounds but also has very good speed with a reported 40-yard time of 4.5. He also had 100 meter dash time of 10.7. The speed is real with Crossley.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='557200' first='Jaylen' last='Andrews'] (Loyalsock)

Let's change it up to some of the bigger play wide receivers in the class of 2024. We start with Loyalsock's [player_tooltip player_id='557200' first='Jaylen' last='Andrews']. Andrews has great reported size for the position at 6-foot-3 and 180-pounds, good long strides that is a great combination with his speed. Totaled 1,400 yards and 26 touchdowns across 58 receptions last fall.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='377550' first='Thomas' last='Smyser'] (Dover)

Smyser is a nice potential slot wide receiver but could play on the outside at the next level as well. Stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs around 165-170 pounds. While he's not big in the size department, he does have good speed, with a reported 40-yard dash time of 4.5. Smyser recorded 59 receptions for 1,170 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='893517' first='Aaron' last='Enterline'] (Manheim)

Enterline out of Manheim Township has great size at 6-foot-3 and tests very well from a physical standpoint as well. Consistent big-time playmaker in a talented conference. Enterline brought in 42 receptions last season for 994 yards and 12 touchdowns last season.

WR Kahale Burns (Bald Eagle)

This smaller wide receiver makes up for any physical disadvantages with good vision, route running, and elusiveness. He has good speed; it's not overly game-breaking, though combined with his other skills, he becomes quite the game-breaker. A real fun player who is a nightmare for opposing defenders to cover. Burns recorded 65 receptions for 903 yards and eight touchdowns last fall.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='91546' first='Isaiah' last='Brown'] (Armstrong)

Nice sized wide receiver out of Armstrong, who we've gotten to see up close in person, and he's always been impressive. Tests very well solid route runner with nice body control and speed. Has back-to-back seasons of 850+ receiving yards. Had 19 touchdowns as well last fall.
