The 2024 class has a lot of talent at a variety of positions, but there are a few that I really love looking at for just how deep they are. Some of these groups have so many good players you could pick a name out of a hat and roll with them and be just fine. This article I'm going to look at 4 position groups that I feel that exact way about.

QB- The QB position is very deep, as there are a ton of guys with at least D2 potential, and multiple guys at the top that are committed or capable of playing D1 football. Guys like Notre Dame commit [player_tooltip player_id='77217' first='CJ' last='Carr'] and Kansas commit [player_tooltip player_id='77216' first='Isaiah' last='Marshall'] lead a strong group of QBs, along with Toledo commit [player_tooltip player_id='253200' first='Kalieb' last='Osborne']. There are some guys that hold a lot of D2 offers like [player_tooltip player_id='814543' first='Preston' last='Otter'] from Nouvel, along with some guys needing more attention like [player_tooltip player_id='249813' first='Ben' last='Buzzard'] from Charlotte, [player_tooltip player_id='253290' first='Ryan' last='Shelby'] from North Farmington and especially [player_tooltip player_id='249503' first='Jake' last='Zann'] from Alpena. Also, keep an eye out for some breakout potential from some watchlisters like [player_tooltip player_id='207193' first='Alek' last='Wickstrom'] from West Catholic, and [player_tooltip player_id='251234' first='Cooper' last='Nye'] who could shoot up recruiting boards with good performances in their senior year. There are still a ton of guys I didn't even mention that I am super high on, showing just how strong this QB class is heading into their final high school season.

WR- There is no shortage of talent at the WR position here in Michigan. Michigan State commit [player_tooltip player_id='190093' first='Nick' last='Marsh'] leads the charge in a super loaded WR class, along with Miami (OH) commit [player_tooltip player_id='667467' first='Braylon' last='Isom'] from Saginaw Heritage and Southfield A&T stud [player_tooltip player_id='247706' first='Tashi' last='Braceful']. There's some guys starting to roll in the offers like South Christian wideout [player_tooltip player_id='610770' first='Jake' last='Vermaas'], and [player_tooltip player_id='251371' first='Jalen' last='Johnson'] from Belleville. Deeper in the class you have some under the radar guys that can make a splash at the next level like Benzie Central WR [player_tooltip player_id='429167' first='Jaxon' last='Childers'], and [player_tooltip player_id='827829' first='Mekhi' last='Wingfield'] from the 8- Player division that could be a D1 receiver if he is given the chance! I love this WR class and all it has to offer.

DL- Defensive line has a strong and uncontested #1 with Brandon Davis- Swain who will be heading out to Colorado to play under Coach Prime, but there are a ton of guys down the list that also have cases of being strong prospects. Not far from Davis- Swain are guys like [player_tooltip player_id='666398' first='Javon' last='Thomas'] from East Lansing, [player_tooltip player_id='80935' first='Tyler' last='Dosh'] from Davison and [player_tooltip player_id='665540' first='Camren' last='Vansolkema'] who are all absolute problems in the trenches! The DL class is special this year because there is a ton of talent from smaller or less recruited schools like [player_tooltip player_id='665566' first='Noah' last='Johnson'] out of Kingsford, [player_tooltip player_id='249812' first='Carson' last='Berkompas'] from Charlotte, and Gabe luck out of Newberry all the way in the UP! It's a deep class with a lot of talent and you can't go wrong with a lot of these guys as I think they can make tons of noise at the collegiate level.

RB- The RB class may be the best of the bunch, as they are loaded top to bottom with capable runners at the next level. Starting with the top 3 ranked backs we have, [player_tooltip player_id='667472' first='Brock' last='Townsend'] has committed to Central Michigan, [player_tooltip player_id='253269' first='Billy' last='Roberson II'] just tweeted that his announcement is coming soon, and he has his pick of a ton of schools at various levels, and [player_tooltip player_id='249806' first='Nakai' last='Amachree'] made his case for one of the most athletic and electrifying athletes this state has to offer. Down the list is a lot of underrated talent like [player_tooltip player_id='851874' first='Eli' last='DeYoung'], a standout at Gobles in the 8- Player divisions, [player_tooltip player_id='249459' first='Bryan' last='Weathersby Jr'] from Roseville who has been showing a lot of promise this offseason that he could break out and take over, along with [player_tooltip player_id='295480' first='Charlie' last='DeBruyn'] from West Catholic, who will look to replace a lot of production from their backfield last season en route to a state title. There are a ton of backs across the state that could easily make a program better that aren't getting a ton of attention yet. It's so crowded it's easy to lose track of all of them, because it's such a deep field.

There are more position groups that are loaded with talent, but these are my favorite 4. Be on the lookout when the season starts because we may have others jumping up this list very soon!
