The inaugural UW-River Falls Mega Camp is in the books, and what an experience it was. It was very well run by the River Falls and other coaching staffs. Despite the 700+ kids, the student athletes were able to get through the combine in a timely fashion, and because of how they split up into smaller groups many kids were still able to get in double digit reps in one on one battles. Plus, with over 50 schools in attendance the kids got to meet and earn offers from so many schools from every level of competition. I can't recommend getting out to this event enough next summer. I guarantee I'll be back. As for my coverage, of course I couldn't watch all 700 kids, but I took in a lot of talent and I will be going position by position and highlighting the "Best I Saw". We start with the signal callers.

Milos checks off a lot of boxes you look for in a D1 prospect. He instantly grabs your attention with his 6'5u0022 216 lbs frame. Despite his size, Milos' feet were light under his frame, and stayed connected to his eyes. The arm strength was also D1 quality. His arm stood out from the crowd as the ball jumped out of his hand. Milos was able to attack 30+ yards downfield and put the ball on a frozen rope. There was never any wasted air under the ball. His accuracy allowed him to also put the ball where he wanted it as equal to as how fast he wanted to get it there. It was no surprise to see that Milos had earned himself a PWO from the Badgers after his camp performance. He is a name to know this summer and fall.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-648268c1d0434"} /-->

He started his day off with a strong combine that did a good job of painting his style of play. He measured in at an impressive 6'4u0022 195 lbs. The big QB showed off some short area explosion with a 31.2u0022 vertical, 9'2u0022 broad jump, and a 4.38 pro agility time. Where he really got to show off was when we got the ball in his hand. Sulik demonstrated smooth footwork and his full body mechanics allowed him to put strong velocity on his passes when he attacked down the field. His tight spiraled passes were well placed throughout all the reps I watched him in. It was a solid day for the Burlington passer.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-648268c1d049d"} /-->

Gabe put together an eye catching day. His 6'4u0022 191 lbs frame looks the part of a next level QB, and his athleticism makes him even more intriguing. Gabe had a blazing 4.65 40 yard dash, 9'4u0022 broad jump, 34.7u0022 vertical jump, and a 4.36 pro agility time. Gabe is a true dual threat for defenses. It was great to see him throw the ball in person too. He has a prototypical throwing motion, and his lower body mechanics from his feet to his hips work together well to generate the power to push the ball to the second and third level. I also was further impressed with his ball placement throughout the evening. We should see his recruitment pick up steam as the summer goes on.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-648268c1d04f6"} /-->

Duke checked in at 6'1u0022 190 lbs, broad jumped 9'1u0022 and vertical jumped 33.6u0022. Shovald took the field and showed off his strong pinpoint ball placement/accuracy. His innate ability to thread the needle has been a strength on tape, and it showed up at River Falls. Duke's has strong control over the ball, and his touch boosted his throws even more. He can drop it over a defender and his receiver's shoulder right in stride or put it in the back corner of the endzone for only his man. The 64% completion percentage passer is surgical with the ball. The 6'2u0022 186 lbs '24 is coming off the winningest season in school history in just his first season at the helm. I came away impressed with Adam. While not being the biggest kid at the position, Skifton is able to use his footwork, hips, and arm to create solid velocity on the ball. That velocity gave him the ability to attack the whole field during the camp. Skifton also checked off the accuracy box from what I saw. He picked his spots and hit his targets in stride; not easy when throwing to receivers you don't know that are being covered. Things continue to look up for the '24. He is going to climb the rankings and his recruitment will continue to increase.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-648268c1d05a1"} /-->

Tim already looks the part with a 6'4u0022 187 lbs frame. The big QB fits the mold of a pocket passer, and he is developing the arm strength needed for the next level. The exciting part is that his mechanics still have a lot of work to be done to them, so there is even more power that he can find. As the mechanics improve so will his accuracy. Logan was one of the student athletes who stood out from the crowd and looked the part with the size he has to offer. Logan already stands at 6'5.5u0022 190 lbs. The thing that I was most impressed with by Logan was how much he has improved this offseason. Every bit of his mechanics from his feet to his release looked so much smoother and more natural than it did in his film from this past fall. With that improved fluidity came a bump in his arm. Now it seems like the ball jumps out of his hand because everything is working as one so no momentum is lost. It all ends up in the ball. With his improved mechanics came the accuracy as well. Get ready for a breakout year from Logan.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-648268c1d067f"} /-->

[player_tooltip player_id='685904' first='Kane' last='Donnelly'] checked in at 6'2u0022 182 lbs. The size was great to see, but even more impressive was the improvement of his game compared to his sophomore film. Kane's arm has definitely taken a step forward. At camp, Donnelly delivered passes with far more velocity than many of his highlights from 2022. He didn't have to put a ton of air under the ball to get it downfield. His throwing motion seemed to be more fluid as well. Seeing the improvement will help him climb the rankings from his current spot. The 2025 is currently at 6'1u0022 200 lbs. It is a well put together frame that comes with 4.75 speed. Once the balls started flying around Parks started to really stand out. His body control allows him to move in the pocket, and throw on the run with smooth mechanics. His mechanics from the pocket were also smooth making it look easy as he zipped the ball all over the field. Pearce is a natural thrower of the football. I'm excited for Parks' future. That size didn't go to waste either. Stahl had one of the most naturally strong arms in the crowd. It looked easy for him to fire the ball downfield on a rope. I was equally as impressed with his ability to know when to use touch instead of that rocket arm. I was able to catch multiple reps of him dropping the ball in instead of firing it on a rope. Gavin also has natural accuracy that shined while throwing to receivers he wasn't comfortable with. Zielke may not fit at QB at the next level, but with athleticism, explosiveness, and change of direction like he displayed in the combine you can bet there is a place for him at some position. If not QB, I instantly can see him at either slot WR or CB. Both spots would very much utilize that athleticism. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does as a junior on the field.
