Since our last recruiting updates (here, here, here, and here) earlier this month, there have been several other noteworthy college prospects from the Garden State that have announced their commitment status.
Timber Creek’s run of producing outstanding talent continues with Wynn. The hybrid edge rusher-type recently announced via Twitter where he will be continuing his academic and athletic careers at UMass. The Minutemen beat out the likes of Buffalo, UConn, Delaware State, Howard, Kent State, Main, Maryland, Monmouth, New Hampshire, Stony Brook, Temple, and Toledo for Wynn’s services.
A big body is staying in the footprint of I-95. Cregan, a product of Delbarton, was a big-time get – both figuratively and literally – for Villanova. Cregan will be heading to Philly to play for the Wildcats in the fall of 2024. The Wildcats beat out Army, Bryant, Georgetown, Maine, and UMass for Cregan’s services.
Flanked by big-time, headline and highlight making skill players Al-Jamir Davis, McNaully Erminal, and Marcus White Marcus White 6’0″ | 190 lbs | ATH Hillside | 2024 State NJ , Rodriguez’s work in the trenches often gets overlooked – not in the case of college coaches though. With numerous offers from the FCS-level-or-better ranging from schools like William & Mary and Bucknell to Temple and Old Dominion, Rodriguez announced that he will be attending UConn in the fall of 2024.
This offseason has been a winter full of changes for McCoy, the talented senior-to-be defensive back. It seems as if as soon as McCoy got settled into his new digs at West Orange he was already looking forward to his next destination – this time at the college level. McCoy will be heading to South Kingstown to attend University of Rhode Island. The Rams beat out a bevy of other FCS programs, and a few FBS programs, for the rights to McCoy’s services.
This next bird will graduate from an Owl to a Mountain Hawk. Hughes, a 6’2″ 200lb linebacker, will graduate in the spring of 2024 from Park Ridge, hop on I-78 West into Bethlehem, PA and suit up for Lehigh that same fall. It is unclear what other schools were in pursuit of the standout linebacker.
