Since our last recruiting updates (here, here, and here) earlier this month, there have been several other noteworthy college prospects from the Garden State that have announced their commitment status.
This year New Jersey has one of the nation’s top kickers – Nico Ottomanelli Nico Ottomanelli 6’2″ | 170 lbs | K Old Tappan | 2024 NJ . After a prodigious three years with much in store for year number four, Ottomanelli has already committed his services to Matt Ruhle and Nebraska. In 2024 he will head to Lincoln to play for the Cornhuskers.

One of the Garden State’s most dynamic dual-threat quarterbacks is staying home after he graduates in 2024. Jones will taking the short trip from Route 1 in Woodbridge to Route 18 as he will be playing football in West Long Branch for Monmouth University. With all that he can do on the gridiron, it is not yet clear where the Hawks will utilize him.

With ideal size at 6’5″ 210lbs, Witherspoon is a prospect who will compete at the FBS level and a bonafide stud at the FCS level. Where will this matchup nightmare of a WR/TE/OLB play for the next four years? Old Dominion University. ODU beats out several schools, including FBS schools like Rutgers, Boston College, Temple, and Ball State; and FCS schools Monmouth, Stony Brook, and Towson

A player recently covered by Prep Redzone New Jersey, we find ourselves writing about Asaian yet again. The St. Peter’s Prep product is continuing a pipeline that Stanford University has started here on the east coast by adding another of the Garden State’s finest to their 2024 recruiting class. It is going to be a Jersey love fest out west with Asaian, Emanuel Ross Emanuel Ross 6’2″ | 185 lbs | WR Red Bank Catholic | 2024 State NJ , Micah Ford Micah Ford 6’1″ | 205 lbs | ATH Tom Rivers North | 2024 State NJ , and Cam Richardson Cam Richardson 6’2″ | 185 lbs | DB Irvington | 2024 State NJ all linking up on the left coast. Stanford beat out other top academic schools such as Princeton, Wake Forest, Yale, Brown, Boston College, and Duke to earn Asaian’s commitment.
Another talented skill player out of Camden has made a decision as to where he will continue to pursue his education while also playing football. Long, a talented receiver who also maintains a 3.7 GPA will be donning orange in the fall of 2024, as he will suit up for the Syracuse Orange. Syracuse beat out numerous other institutions for his commitment, including Pitt, Temple, West Virginia, and several schools just outside the Power 5 Conferences.
