New Jersey Recruiting: June Update, Part II

Since our last <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/06/new-jersey-recruiting-june-update/">recruiting update</a> earlier this month, there have been several other noteworthy college prospects from the Garden State that have announced their commitment status. Penn State beat out several other major programs, including Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Notre Dame to gain the commitment of the dynamic athlete. Recently one of their no-fly zone defensive backs from the class of 2024 has determined where he will continue to mature as a student, athlete, and man over the next several years. Lead defensive back Chavis will be heading to Philly to play for Temple University. The Owls beat out several prestigious academic institutions, notably Air Force, Boston College, Fordham, Lehigh, UMass, and UPenn. Purely speculation on my end, but in his Twitter announcement Judah uses the hashtag u0022#OlineU.u0022 It was previously rumored that Rutgers was looking at converting him to defensive line. Perhaps this had to do with his decision to defect and head up north?
