Three out of the five prospects highlighted have received at least one Division I scholarship, whether that be FBS or FCS. Most of the time, a lot of coaches just don’t have enough time to find and locate every recruit. Have no fear, Hawk is here to the rescue, letting you know which prospects to keep an eye on all summer long!

Amere is a two-sport athlete who already has two D1 offers for basketball. He has valuable production and game experience. His makeup speed at CB is good and will only continue to improve with time. He is a playmaker in general who contests the ball well. He has solid footwork and is a willing tackler in space. However, he needs to work on his strength and explosion, which will obviously keep improving. He possesses the speed and body control necessary to be an impactful WR. I can also see Amere playing various positions on special teams. He is very athletic, and his basketball talents translate well to corner, especially when contesting passes. I believe Amere is capable of playing D1 football as well.

Ed is a high-volume back that produces when he gets his hands on the ball. Lewis has tremendous balance, and he’s very elusive, making it hard for one man to bring him down. He has tremendous stop-and-go speed, which makes me think he’s capable of playing slot WR in college. He’s a dangerous wide receiver out of the backfield that’s capable of taking it the distance. As a running back, he runs with vision, and he does a good job navigating through traffic, finding daylight on inside runs. His toughness is obvious in the way that he breaks tackles, being only 5’9″ and 160 lbs. He has good speed and quickness, which will translate very well to the return game in college. I think, at minimum, the local FCS schools should get him in front of them immediately.

Highlights
Mickey is 6’4 and weighs 210 lbs, but he moves like he’s 5’10 185 lbs. He’s good at playing off of O-linemen but needs to keep developing strength to defeat blocks quicker at the point of attack. Mickey sets the edge well and doesn’t allow plays to stretch outside him in the run game. He’s a good blitzer from OLB depth or coming off the edge. His zone drops are solid, and he does an adequate job defending his area before reacting. He has the speed and physicality to go along with his consistent motor. On the next level he could also possibly be a pass-rushing DE. Mickey will most likely be a big contributor on kickoff and punt return in college as well. Vaccarello currently has one offer from FCS Duquesne. Mickey possesses FBS size, and with an aggressive offseason, he could bring that opportunity into fruition.

Highlights
Clancy just picked up his first D1 offer from local D1 Duquesne. He’s athletic and displays good agility, mixed with speed, chasing down the ballcarrier. He has a good get-off and redirects quickly down the line in run pursuit. Orie has good size at 6’3, 230 lbs for a 5-technique with 2 seasons left to play. He plays at a lower pad level than his height would suggest, making him a tough assignment when he slants or shuffles down the line following the puller. Clancy displays a textbook sideline-to-sideline effort consistently on tape. His strength is evident when he locks out and sheds O-linemen, surveying the play. Orie shows good bend and hand violence pass rushing off the edge. He’s physical and athletic enough to make an impact on special teams.

JuJu is a versatile athlete who displays big-time D1 potential. He’s effortlessly fast and exhibits next-level body control when running routes and catching passes. He’s a smooth route runner and showcases strong hands when catching jump balls and other contested passes in traffic. JuJu also has playmaking ability when returning kicks on special teams. Defensively, he’s a physical player who flashes man coverage skills. His pad level, tackling, and ability to break on the football highlight his FBS skillset. He has good feet, hips, and ball skills, as shown on interceptions. Phillips is a standout performer on a team full of them. So far, Phillips has one FBS offer from Akron, but his athleticism should net him more MAC offers at minimum. Whoever JuJu camps with this summer should be prepared to offer.
