From Cincy to Dayton, and Columbus to Cleveland, the talent level is high across The Buckeye State. Here’s a look at five class of 2027 prospects that will be freshman this upcoming fall season, but are already starting to heat up and turn heads this summer.
The youngest Haddad boy has had plenty of time to watch, listen and learn from next-level football players in the greater Cleveland area. The football lineage is about as good as it gets on both sides of his family. On his Mother’s side: Grandfather was a first-round pick and played eight years in the NFL; One of his uncle’s played at Syracuse, while another uncle played four years in the league and won a Super Bowl with the Colts. On the other side of the family tree, his Father Drew Haddad, played parts of five seasons in the NFL and CFL. His oldest brother Brady Hadded will be at D3 John Carroll University starting this fall, while middle brother Cody Haddad Cody Haddad 6’0″ | 175 lbs | DB Saint Ignatius | 2025 State OH is currently ranked our #32 player in Ohio for the class of 2025 and is quickly closing in on 10 D1 offers since February. Scary enough, Trey looks to be the fastest and most athletic of the three brothers. Can take a slant to the house unlike many other 2027 prospects at this point. The multi-sport athlete will join brother Cody at Saint Ignatius High School in the fall.
Chandler Moore Chandler Moore 6’2″ | 245 lbs | OL Chaminade-Julienne | 2027 State OH was all set to go and was proudly sitting on the class of 2026 PRZ Next National Watchlist last summer, until an injury caused an audible in the plans and pushed Moore to reclass to 2027. Those months between eighth grade football and high school football are huge for progression and growth. Moore has made the most of his extra time, growing more than a few inches and is now somewhere between 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-3 and weights between 230 and 260 depending on where you look. His success on the pre-high school level is unquestioned, in both football and wrestling–having reached State Champion Status on the latter. He’ll be at Chaminade-Julienne in Dayton this fall for the start of the revenge tour.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds White is a big, tall wide receiver/defensive back/athlete type that will be at Northridge High School in Dayton, OH this fall. White, an incoming freshman, will be joining his older brother Baron White, a 2025 wide receiver/free safety on the Polar Bears’ program. Based off his film, I personally like him as a safety going forward, due much in part to the amount of ground he can patrol in the deep secondary. His length allows him to make plays on the ball that other prospects at this stage can’t get to. There are a lot of physical tools to work with here and coming off a 7-1 season as eighth graders, White and his fellow 2027 classmates come with some high expectations.
Winton Woods High School is always a great place to check out some up-and-coming talent, and this year is no different for the Cincinnati powerhouse program. While the early class of 2027 breakout star for coach Chad Murphy is talented back Isaiah Garrett Isaiah Garrett 5’10” | 170 lbs | RB Winton Woods | 2027 State OH (already holds offers from Michigan and Kentucky), another prospect to put on the radar is OL/DL Lael Jones Lael Jones 6’3″ | 330 lbs | DL Winton Woods | 2027 OH . Jones is a promising big man joining the Warriors program this fall and stands a thick 6-foot-2 and 275 pounds. He has played tackle on both sides of the ball throughout his pre-high school career, but I think defensive tackle and offensive guard look to be best places for him going forward at this point.

Thomas is a running back I like more and more each time I see a new clip of him training or playing. He’s off to Pickerington North High School in the fall and brings a lot of two-way talent. At 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds, also claiming a 4.7 in the forty, he’s a well-built running back on offense that is equal part power and agility. Not surprising when looking at his build, he’s also an exceptional wrestler that went 27-3 on this season at the 150 pound weight class. I say that because he’s also a standout at linebacker and understands angles and brings a lot of power behind his pads.
