The quarterbacks participated in various drills on day one, a pro day workout on day two, and day three involved the accuracy challenge and 7on7.
Julian Sayin Julian Sayin 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Carlsbad | 2024 State CA of Carlsbad, California, an Alabama commit, was named the MVP of the event by the camp and multiple websites, including Prep Redzone.
Here are the quarterbacks who finished in the top 11.
MVP
Sayin blew away the competition in the pro day workout and was second in the accuracy challenge on day three.
Multiple scouts at the event considered him to be a safe prospect with a high floor, but he won a lot of them over with his upside and one scout even told me he thinks Sayin could compete for playing time at Alabama as a freshman.
NEXT 10
Raiola was neck and neck with Sayin the entire week and nobody would have protested if he were named the camp’s MVP.
He had the best deep ball of anyone at the event and he knows just how much air to put under the ball. He’s a big guy at 6-foot-3 and is every bit of 230 pounds.
Raiola was the best in the competition in the 7on7 portion and was hitting receivers in stride. He has the talent to be a multi-year starter at Georgia.
Noland stood out because he has a very quick release and the ball jumps out of his hand. He had good timing with the receivers on his pro day workout and put a lot of zip on the short routes.
He showed he can throw off-platform in the pro day when he rolled to his right and hit the receiver in stride at the pylon.
Noland is also very personable and the coaches raved about the way he conducted himself at the event.
Carr was one of the most impressive quarterbacks in the pro day drills in my opinion. He also was excellent in the accuracy challenge with a 50 score that was the third best of the day.
Him taking three sacks in the 7on7 is concerning and may be an indication that he takes too long to make decisions, but when he does make the right choices, the ball gets there accurately and on time.
Highlights
Hammond was the second best passer in the pro day drills on day two despite having the difficult task of going first. He completed 9 consecutive passes during the 7on7 portion of the day and showed he can put the ball in the perfect places for the receivers to catch it.
He wasn’t the highest-profile quarterback at the event and some scouts consider his performance a surprise. Texas Tech may be getting an under the radar steal in Hammond.
Grunkemeyer was named the MVP of day one by On3 and performed steadily well throughout the event.
He’s a three-star recruit on most recruiting sites and is committed to Penn State, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see him add more offers this summer. He has good velocity on the short and intermediate throws.
Highlights
Kromenhoek was one of the more physically impressive players at the event and is a receiver turned quarterback.
He struggled mightily in the pro day drills on day two but did well in 7on7 and the accuracy challenge on day three.
Despite struggling in the pro day, you could see that the arm talent was there and the athleticism. The Florida State commit may be a high ceiling but low floor prospect.
Highlights
Davis was in the middle of the pack in the pro day workout but was one of the top guys in the 7on7 on day three. He does a good job hitting receivers on their back shoulder on corner routes near the sidelines.
He was on the smaller side of the quarterbacks at the event, but that wasn’t an issue in the 7on7.
Kaelin was very good in the pro day workouts and I had him just outside the top five on day two.
A scout had him as a top three performer on day one and he had the second best score in the accuracy challenge. He has a high-release, is confident and showed plus arm strength. Kaelin has the tools to push the quarterbacks at Nebraska when he gets on campus.
Highlights
Hejny was consistently good in the last two days and while he wasn’t in my top five on day two, he was very good in the pro day workout despite going second to last when the receivers were tired.
The TCU commit was one of the better off-platform throwers on day two and is a good athlete.
Highlights
Jackson was one of the two uncommitted quarterbacks at the event and showed a ton of upside.
He won the Rail Shot Challenge on day one and flashed an impressive arm in the pro day workout. He had a lot of zip on the short throws and was able to drive the ball down the field on the deeper ones.
Jackson was throwing just as hard and his release was unchanged on the later throws on the pro day which shows good endurance. Missouri is one of his top schools and he is visiting there later this month.
