The Spring training session promised us one or all of three things; heat, relentless training, and players bursting through glass ceilings. Let's look at some of the class of 2024's who took on the heat, trained like their hair was on fire, and burst through the ceiling of expectations. Remember that you heard it here first.....

Not saying that I told you so but 25 D1 offers later and counting and his name is ringing from coast to coast. A fun fact about free safety [player_tooltip player_id='413193' first='Tice' last='Williams'] is that his middle name is actually "Legend". He stated, "I want to work with my middle name in mind to keep me focused on the fact that average standards will only get me forgotten and that it's a skill in itself to possess the ability to give it all; all the time." Tice Legend Williams is a big free safety out of Conroe, Texas who possesses the size and speed (6'3 192 & 4.51 laser 40 yrd) coming out of Spring workouts and camp season to make a push for the top safety spot in Texas during his senior campaign. Williams is a force coming downhill on anyone wishing to carry or receive the pigskin. He currently sits at 25 D1 offers with more scheduled to pour in when the 23-24 season commences. The new rankings are about to drop and the once upon a time sleeper is now assaulting the charts on purpose with purpose.

[player_tooltip player_id='618316' first='Tristan' last='Johnson'] I 6'3 265 I DL I Hurst, Texas

The last time we spoke about [player_tooltip player_id='618316' first='Tristan' last='Johnson'] he was labeled as a sleeper with no legit offers to speak of. Well, let's just say that Prep RedZone Next (Texas) has woken up the country in a major way. Now working as an edge and interior defensive force, Johnson has blown up the camp circuit and spring training with his gerth and explosive motor. Standing at a legitimate 6'3 and weighing in at 265; you couldn't tell the difference in get-off and agility from a 220-pounder and big Trist at 265. He overwhelmed the opposition in drill positions ranging from wide 9 concepts, shade, and interior. Tristan is virtually unblockable at this level of play. The Nebraska native now Texan recently received an offer from his home state's Nebraska Cornhuskers and sits at over 20 D1 offers in less than 2 months. I hate to say I told you so but...... I TOLD YOU SO!!! Kudos to trusting the process and betting on one's self. Look for the fall to be explosive.

Tyjuan Garza I 6'2 250 I DL/HB I Yoakum, Texas

Sleeper alert in progress! Tyjuan Garza of Yoakum, Texas is an interesting athlete coming out of spring ball and the camp circuit. This kid is a load on both sides of the ball. Turn on the film and see a pitbull of power pressing the pocket and harassing the backfield along with all of its inhabitants. Big play after big play is the trend of his hudl film. At 6'2 250, Garza can be seen going from sacking the quarterback to running for a 40-plus yard touchdown while dragging smaller defenders in his wake. This young man stresses God, family, and academics as his first priorities, and playing for those three pillars allows him to compete with tenacity every step. Look for offers to come this athlete's way by way of offense or defense. But don't take my word for it; watch the tape.... Remember that you heard it here first!

Ruben Tshilombo I 6'4 225 I Edge I Fort Worth, Texas

You may not know the name Ruben "Kong" Tshilombo but just as I have mentioned many other times with different prospects who have become dudes on the collegiate recruiting circuit, remember this day when I introduced you to the edge out of Fort Worth, Texas. Kong Tshilombo reminds me of a young Joseph Ossai of the Cincinnati Bengals by way of the Texas Longhorns. His snap-to-burst first steps are impeccable and violent. He moves with intentional force and garners the attention of double teams or chip blocking from the running back. If not, he will go unblocked and strike with extreme prejudice anyone wearing an unfamiliar colored jersey. His wingspan and hips allow him to dip and bend with range while contorting around the blocker's gerth to get home for the TFL or sack. Ruben "Kong" Tshilombo is about to become a giant for the 23-24 season if utilized properly and placed in the right situations. Remember to follow Prep RedZone Texas as we follow his upward climb with great anticipation and expectation.
