Midwestern State Camp At Regan HS - Who Stood Out?

Even with the heat, the athletes never backed down. From the first drill to the final one, players competed with great energy, stayed engaged, and made the most of every opportunity to perform in front of the coaching staff. Here are some of the players who stood out at midwestern state camp last night:    Cedric was one of the first athletes to catch my attention throughout the afternoon. He consistently ran sharp routes, creating separation with clean footwork and staying under control at the top of his breaks. During individual drills, he looked comfortable, showing good attention to detail and taking coaching well. What stood out just as much was his effort level every rep was run at full speed and his attention to details. He consistently fired off the ball with good timing, stayed low through contact, and kept his hands active to work past blockers.     Decker showed noticeable improvement as the day went on, looking much more comfortable working through the linebacker drills. He did a good job at pursuing angle drills against the RBs ; staying under control while moving laterally, and closing on the ball with purpose. During one on one , decker covered a lot of ground while in coverage.     Coleman had a solid day at wide receiver, showing the ability to get in and out of his breaks with little wasted movement. He tracked the football well in the air and consistently extended his hands to get to the ball. There were also ball that were under thrown but he made it happen to attack the ball in the air. His mechanics stayed consistent from start to finish, and he did a good job putting the ball where his receivers could make a play. Brian can also play LB; it will be a good year to see how he does at stevens this year.     Carter using his long arms to his advantage during the one on one drills. He was able to keep defenders at a distance with good hand placement, stayed balanced through contact, and recovered well when challenged. His length helped him control reps early, and he showed the ability to mirror pass rushers while keeping his feet active.     Crowder is in the class of 2029 made a strong impression throughout the camp by showing exactly what he can bring to the field. He had a great day working through receiver drills, he also ran well and showing good control in and out of his breaks. He won some of his one on one battles. For a linebacker, his ability to close ground and get back into plays after being challenged in coverage was impressive. His movement stood out immediately, showing the ability to change direction with ease while staying under control. Whether it was during individual drills or competitive reps, he moved natural. During one on one drills, he did a great job playing tight coverage, staying on the hips of wide receivers and making it difficult for them to create separation. He tracked WRs eyes and always made PBU happen all day . He stood out during individual drills, showing strong fundamentals, good movement, and the ability to execute each rep with confidence.     Cash had a strong showing during the camp, displaying the traits that make him an intriguing edge prospect. He consistently showed a good first step off the ball, using his quick jump to put pressure on offensive linemen early in the rep. Cant wait to see cash this year at Smithson valley.     Tyler stayed locked in throughout the entire camp, especially during the one-on-one portion where his patience in coverage stood out. He did a good job staying composed, trusting his technique, and not allowing RBs to easily create separation.     Gatlin had a strong day showing his ability to use his hands effectively along the defensive front. He consistently worked to create separation with good hand placement, keeping blockers from getting comfortable and allowing himself to make play.     Slade brought a lot of intriguing traits to the field throughout the camp, with his length standing out immediately. He used his frame well during drills, showing the ability to cover ground, move comfortably in space, and stay involved in every rep     Myel had a great showing throughout the camp, putting together a solid performance during the running back drills. He looked comfortable with the ball in his hands, showed good movement, and displayed the ability to make quick decisions in space.     Alpha had a good day on the defensive side of the ball, showing confidence and competitiveness throughout the camp. He did a nice job staying engaged during drills, showing good movement skills and the ability to stay with receivers in coverage. Alpha competed through every rep, worked to put himself in the right position, and showed the willingness to challenge himself against different matchups. He showed suddenness in his movements, creating separation with quick cuts and the ability to change direction without losing speed.     Braedyn had a consistent day along the defensive line, showing good technique throughout the camp. He did a nice job using his hands, staying balanced through contact, and working with a clear understanding of how to win reps.     Dwight had a good day working along the defensive line, especially during the bag drills where his technique stood out. He showed good hand placement, stayed controlled through each movement, and displayed the ability to work through drills with purpose     Rocco had a good day and showed good footwork especially during the bag drills where he displayed strong technique and attention to detail. He moved well through each drill, showed good footwork, and worked with confidence while completing each rep. He was offered by MSU.     Joshua is a player I have continued to watch throughout the year, and each time he steps on the field, he shows noticeable improvement. After seeing him at multiple camps, his growth and development have been clear, as he continues to become more comfortable and confident in his game. Joshua has consistently taken advantage of every opportunity, showing progress in his technique, effort, and overall approach.     Jaiden is a player to keep an eye on this season, showing the ability to make an impact at wide receiver. He moved smoothly throughout the camp, displaying good route running ability and the ability to create separation. Kobe look good catching the ball and finishing his reps. Kobe definitely left a better player after camp.     Josh had a good showing during the camp, especially during the bag drills where he displayed solid technique and good movement. He worked through each rep with confidence, showing good footwork and the ability to stay controlled. Josh finished 2025 with over 135 total tackles.     MJ was on point throughout the entire day, putting together one of the top performances at quarterback. He showed good accuracy during throwing drills. His performance stood out among the quarterbacks in attendance, earning him QB MVP honors for the day and recognizing the consistency he displayed throughout the camp.     Landry had a good showing at the Midwestern State camp and took advantage of the opportunity to continue developing his game. andry continued to improve as the camp went on, gaining valuable experience and showing the ability to make adjustments     Brandon had a good showing at the Midwestern State camp, making his presence felt throughout the day. He moved well during drills, showed good awareness, and competed through reps.     Elijah's size immediately stands out when he steps on the field, giving him a trait that is hard to overlook. He brings an impressive frame and the type of build that creates excitement for what he can become. While there is still more to see as he continues to develop, his potential is clear.     Caleb may not have the biggest frame, but he showed throughout the day that he can compete at a high level. He played with confidence, stayed engaged in every rep, and did not back down from any challenge. Caleb looked good out there and was later offered by MSU.     Chance did everything he could to make an impact during the Midwestern State camp, showcasing his skills throughout the day. He showed good technique at defensive back, competing hard in coverage and putting himself in position to make plays. Chance was aggressive attacking the ball and nearly came away with an impressive diving interception,     Jax competed through every rep, showed good hand usage, and continued to work to create opportunities against blockers.    The Midwestern State camp once again provided a great environment for athletes to compete, learn, and showcase their abilities in front of college coaches. Even with the intense afternoon heat, the effort and energy never faded, as players continued to push themselves through every drill and competitive period. Several prospects used the opportunity to elevate their stock, while others showed flashes of what they can become with continued development. Some left with offers , some also left on the coaches radar. Midwestern state camp was a great one.
