Chance been more than consistent DBs in the camp circuit this offseason, and he have put together another strong performance at SFA. During the individuals drills chance footwork , his balanced and the way he show good techique is what stood out. He took all the coaching in; during one on one he did a good job staying hip to hip with WRs to make a play on the ball. His ability to locate the ball at the right time, turning his head without losing position. That skill showd up again as he came away with a diving INT. Chance remained disciplined in coverage.
Chance showed a lot of resilience and consistency across both camps I was able to see him at. At Trinity Camp, he put together a solid showing where he looked comfortable in coverage, competed well through reps, and gave himself a chance to make plays on the ball. Fast forward to the Texas State camp last night, and he maintained that same level of play, staying active and engaged throughout the session. Even with back to back interceptions in competitive periods, he didn’t get rattled and continued to compete at a high level, showing confidence and a short memory as a defensive back.
Chance had a strong overall showing at Trinity and capped off his day with a big play in skelly, coming down with an interception that highlighted his instincts and awareness. Throughout drills, he moved with confidence in coverage, showing clean transitions and the ability to stay controlled when breaking on routes. His timing stood out when the ball was in the air, and he showed he can capitalize when opportunities come his way. The INT was a clear moment that reflected his ability to read and react under pressure.
