SFA Camp Recap

<p>SFA brought its camp tour to San Anotnio On Sunday night, hosting a talented group of prospects at Alamo Heights HS. Players from 2027-2029 had the opportunity to compete and learn from the SFA Coaching staff. The energy was all there last night arcoss the board fro quarterbacks all the way down to the Defensive Linemen. The energy remained the high throughout the evening as athletes battled through drills and made strong impressions during camp. On Defensive side, he showed the ability to change directions efficiently while moving through drills. On the offensive side of the ball cam was showing he can run routes out the back field , doing through bags pretty well and took coaching all night long. Cam Earned an offer from SFA after camp. During the individuals drills chance footwork , his balanced and the way he show good techique is what stood out. He took all the coaching in; during one on one he did a good job staying hip to hip with WRs to make a play on the ball. His ability to locate the ball at the right time, turning his head without losing position. That skill showd up again as he came away with a diving INT. After picking up an offer from TCU last weekend. He camp into camp showing why colleges should take notice. Throughout the SFA camp he was showing high motor; made most of his opportunities to be competitive at every drill. Kemarion showed how great his footwork is going through bags drills , keeping the ball high and tight. He was very steady from start to finish; getting through his throwing motion , keeping everything compacted and delivering the ball with decent placement on timing routes. He didnt rush any throws , hitting WRs/RBs in Stride. He look really well going through quarterback cones drills ;showing good release and the ability to drive the ball when needed. There were also moments where he clicked with WRs and made some good throws. Raanan stood our during one on ones competing with OL. You could see he still was refining his technique as well as trying to keep his motor going. Jayden length and his running style what stands out for sure , he tested very well . He competes every time he heads to a camp. While working during angle pursuit drill; he showed a perfect angle while chasing a defender. I love how explosive Kiefer was coming off the ball, kiefer made some mistakes during camp and got coached up and fix them. In indivdiuals drills he look good with a smooth back pedal being able to open up run and hawk the ball down. He showed good movement , staying light on his feet while working through bag drills and finishing under control. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Rogan will be climbing up the ranks after this season. i paid close attention to rogan arm angle and his release. He gets the ball out quick and with a smooth motion. The ball jumps out of his hand and can change his arm slot and the ball will come out the same. His ability to spin the ball with good velocity was another good attribute to his game. Rogan holds an offer from UTSA, UIW, Lamar.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Pike is a young LB to keep a eye on this season. He move laterally , stayed under control and showed good understanding of the fundamentals being taught. He was attentive to the coaching and what stood out was his ability to keep up with the competitiveness. </p>     <p>Jace is a receiver who has a lot to like about his game. He showed good natural movement skills, during routes on air he was able to get in and out his breaks smoothly. He look comfortable catching the ball. Brice kept his focus and working through each rep; don't waste any movement and looked comfortable adjusting to coaching. Along with cones drills, brice had a good day throwing the ball .</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Dwight who transferred from Warren High school is now at cornerstone will have a good season. At SFA camp, i love how dwight was moving during indidvual drills , he was also doing good in one and one , i'll love to see more of dwight at the edge position this season. Michael ended up with an INT during one on ones where he went up and grabbed it. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Spent some time to watch Jonathan during all drills, he stayed engaged working through his kick step and adjusting his technique on the fly. What really stood out was how physical he was through reps. He kept his energy up , his base and his active hands went to work every rep. Jonathan was offered by Trinity today. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Reed had a good showing as well, stood out for his quickness off the line. In Drills he showed a strong first step and reacted well to movement. I also love how he had a plan every time he was going up against the OL. Overall, it was a solid performance highlighted by explosiveness. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">In one on ones kole competed at a high level use his length effectively to challenge throws and closing windows. He showed good timing when breaking on the football and wasn't afraid to get involved at the catch point. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Slade was going through the bags pretty well, showing actice feet and the ability to stay low and change directions. Keeping his balanace through the cut steps instead of rising up which help him stay sharp through the drills.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Elvis has a natural throwing motion coming from a baseball foundation show why he can spin the ball effortlessly. During the individuals periods, elvis showed a clean repeatable motion and good touch on his throws.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">I love the work Ayham was putting in on sunday night. Showing attention to details using what he know about his position and taking coaching. He showed good awareness in space and work to stay in position rather than guessing what the DL would do. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Terrin is a OL to keep and eye on after showing what he can do. He had solid base and was willing to compete with the best. It was a promsing performace from terrin showing his toughness. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Gannon was getting coached up really well by TE coach. Ethan showed great first step and active hands while working through traffic. He competed hard and showed you how versatile he is. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Knupp showing imporvement throught out the day. Looked comfortable during OL drills , had control with his set.
